Cigar recommendations

Cigar recommendations? Hello all. I am trying to purchase a cigar or two as a small token gift for a friend. I have no idea what his tastes are, but I gather they probably run pretty middle-of-the-road when it comes to tobacco choices. I'm looking to purchase something average- to slightly-high end that has enough unique flair to be considered a nice gift. There are a few local convenience stores that have a small humidor selection, so please keep recommendations within those will most likely be in a small-selection stock. I already had someone recommend light-colored Arturo Fuentes, but that was one opinion from a stranger and I would like more. Assume I know nothing at all about cigars.
Thanks!

But Mom it is totally legal!

How do I cover up cigar smoke in my clothing? Legal age, but would rather not explain to the parents. I'm 18, a high school senior, and want to share some cigars with friends, but my parents aren't too keen on the idea. My mom has a sensitive nose, and while it is unlikely that she'll be hugging me when I get home she can normally smell my cigar smoke on my dad from 5-10 ft away. Any suggestions as to how to cover up the smell?
Taking a change of clothes when I'm going out is an option but it is likely that she'd still smell it in the laundry.

. . . but a good cigar is a smoke.

Okay, it's time to get serious and learn about . . . cigars. Where do I start? A golden star pinned to your lapel for the following information:

-What brands or cigar types should I sample? (I like darker cigars and hardier smokes.) Likes and dislikes?
-Terminology. What nouns, verbs and adjectives should I add to my vocabulary? (I know there's a "robusto" lurking somewhere.)
-Any books or websites to recommend?
-Say you're a cigar, and I'm my mouth and throat. How many of you can I smoke, say, in a year before contracting cancer? (I know that this is a topic bereft of serious study, so a general rule of thumb is acceptable.)

Cuban cigars in Toronto

Good (friendly, knowledgeable & good selection) cigar stores in Toronto? Also: Cuban cigars I'd like to get a few Cuban cigars for my friend before I return to the U.S. from Toronto. I'm totally clueless about cigars. (I've smoked 2 in my life.) What Cuban cigars are good bang-for-buck? I don't want to be spending too much on it. I'll just get 2-6 of them. What price should I expect to pay for decent ones? I live in Markham but will be in downtown Toronto for some time tomorrow. Any suggestions for stores that are friendly to newbies like me? Thanks!

Macbook and cigar smell

Can I occasionally smoke cigars around my Macbook without making it smell? As fall descends on Houston, it's finally getting nice enough outside that I could tolerate being out on the balcony of my apartment at night. I just recently got a Macbook, and I've also just started occasionally smoking cigars. If I was very careful with my ash, would smoking a cigar while using the computer make it smell like crap for a long time? If so, is there anything I can do to prevent it? I've read some questions about getting the smell out of apartments and such, but this is a different story.

How do I prevent/remove cigar odor?

How do I remove cigar odor? How do I minimize it in the first place? I occasionally host poker night, and inevitably, some stogies are torched. My place reeks for days afterward, even with the windows open. Are there any effective techniques to minimize the odor, or remove it afterward?
