I'm looking for a good Swedish expression for "Get some cider in you!" or "Drink up your cider!" Something that sounds a little on the rural / folksy side would be best.

So I've made cardamon pepper gin punch, now what?

I tried to see if I could infuse some bland mixing gin (Gordon's ) with more of the aggressive, 'gin-y' spice flavor I like. So I threw in juniper berries, mulling mix (cinnamon, allspice, orange peel, etc) cardamon pods, lemon peel, and peppercorn and let them sit. Fermentors: Hard cider problem!

I am trying to make hard cider and am having issues. It has fermented for two weeks steadily and burbled the airlock nicely. But no change in gravity reading and no taste of booze. I don't understand. If there was gas release then the yeast was active. I had this happen last time too. I introduced yeast twice, watched air action, etc. I make beer and wine but am about to give up on something that should be easy but is inexplicably diff. Help!

Rum and Apple Cid-ER! Rum and Apple Cid-ER!

I seem to remember a cartoon (might've been a Looney Tune, with Daffy perhaps?) from my youth in which a pirate song that ends up with "yo ho ho and a bottle of rum" was sung, but it ended instead with a conga-beat rhythm that went something like "yo ho ho and a bottle of" (and here's where the conga beat came in) "rum and apple cid-ER / rum and apple cid-ER / rum and apple cid-ER" (with the 'ER' being the beat). It's an obscure vague memory at the outreaches of my childhood, but that "rum and apple cid-ER" has become a real earworm for me the past few days. Any idea where this little comedy bit came from, and if it's on one of the online video services?
