I am on a mac, and reluctantly use Firefox right now for some of my work. Firefox on the mac has become so slow and boggy, it is painful to work on. However, I download a lot of jpegs from webpages, and in Firefox, you can have the file automatically open with one click in Photoshop (or any other software), without having to download, go to the finder, and so forth.
Is that feature available in either Chrome or Safari? I have done some googling, but can't seem to find anything.

I have a Chrome/Google Apps for Domains account for work. When I log onto my computer at work with that account, I have a bunch of apps and a bunch of bookmarks.
My issue is: when I sign into Chrome at home with my work account, none of my apps or bookmarks are there. On the settings page (advanced sync settings) I have selected "Apps", "Bookmarks", "Extensions, "Passwords", "Settings", "Themes" and "Open Tabs" but my Apps and Bookmarks and Password that are on my work computer (under this account) are not there when I sign in on my home computer (under this account). So, I'm using Google Chrome and my Facebook has suddenly decided not to work. I've tried clearing my browser history with emptying the cache and cookies (that terminology is a bit beyond me). But it still won't work. It looks like the words below, but in a blue font on a white screen. I've tried it on Internet Explorer and it works fine (Changing internet browsers is not an answer I'm willing to consider here). Can someone help me fix it please. [more inside]

Chrome Browser: When I'm in dev mode and have overrides enabled (for example: "iPhone - iOS 6 / 640x980 / Emulate touch events / CSS media: screen"), Chrome throws a black box over the upper left corner of the web page with status in red text (for example: "Overrides: User-Agent / Device Metrics / Touch / Media
") It is omnipresent and unnecessary. How do I turn that black box off? [more inside]

I've been using Chrome on my Mac and Safari on my iPad Air. Trying to get them both to sync with each other is a challenge. I used a Safari on Mac for a short while recently to keep the two perfectly in sync but I've since switched back to a Chrome on my Mac as it is just a quicker and nicer to use browser. On my iPad Air I've installed Chrome but nothing beats Safari on the iPad as it's smoother and uses a faster rendering engine. Chrome on iOS is a bit sluggish and doesn't feel comfortable to use.
Is there a way that I can sync my Chrome bookmarks and settings on my Mac with Safari on my iPad?

I want the forward/back controls in my browser on iPad to be at the bottom of the screen, same as they are on my iPhone. I don't see any way to do this in Safari or Chrome. My thumb insists on doing it the iPhone way (and quite logically because that's where my thumb already is while holding the device). It is driving me crazy. Please tell me there's a way.

My Nexus 4 phone (running Android 4.4) has started insisting that when I want to share a page via Chrome, I HAVE to do it via email.
I've tried resetting defaults in Chrome and email, and uninstalling the updates, but it still keeps insisting if I want to share, I have to do it via email - whereas before, it'd allow me to decide which service to share to.
Any idea what else I can do ?!

So my problem is that I sometimes stalk people on facebook - come on, I'm not the only one -.- - but don't want some people/things I checked on facebook to appear in my omnisearch bar in Chrome. So I tried to go to history to delete/clear only facebook data but apparently you can't select all facebook history at once and delete it. It might take a long time if I were to select each individual item to delete.
Is there a simple way to do this?

Now, whenever I go to that computer and launch Chrome (he uses Firefox), it remembers me -- I can tell because all of my bookmarks are in the bar at the top. I've tried signing out of Chrome, but it still happens. I considered hitting "Delete this user" under the Settings, but I'm afraid that will delete me from Chrome entirely (even on my own computer). When you do cmd+/- on Chrome, it scales the entire page up or down: text, images, layout.

When I'm working, I often have Word 2010 document open and Facebook open in a Chrome browser tab. Every so often, I'll try to close a Word doc and it'll hang with "not responding". Simultaneously, I'm unable to do anything in Facebook - can't scroll, click, etc. Every other Chrome tab works fine, every other Windows application works fine. I can close the FB tab, but the Word doc is still stuck. Restarting Chrome and Word doesn't do anything. Task Manager doesn't show any unusual activity or processes running. [more inside]

Google chrome on the iMac I use in my office at work (at a university) will have usernames and passwords for people who have never been in my office ever. I was having trouble with my iMac computer lagging and one of the things I did was restart in Safe mode (holding down shift). It now seems to be ok. I also have mediocre vision so have resolution at 1280 x 800 as my usual preference. The Issue: since the safe boot, Chrome pages go to a white screen after a few seconds on most sites such as Facebook and Amazon among others. I see old posts on Google but no real fixes. I looked at many google help links like this
among others. Has anybody else had this problem? (Chrome does this when I change the view back to a more usual setting like 1344 x 840, for example. Any thoughts?

I use (and love) Google Chrome both my home (Mac) and work (Win 7, 64-bit) computers. But in the last few weeks Chrome has become nigh-unusable. Basically, what's happening is that ~20 minutes after opening the browser, an attempt to access any new domain will a) take forever and b) freeze up the other tabs, so that they won't scroll or allow text selection. Restarting Chrome fixes the problem, but only for another 20 minutes or so.
I've tried the various Flash fixes out there and nothing has worked; this has only been a problem in the last few weeks or so. Please help, I really don't want to go back to firefox. Thanks!
