Are there more songs like these?

Looking for songs in the musical/strumming vein of DCFC's "I'll Follow you Into the Dark" and Earlimart's "The Little Things". Hello, good people.

I play guitar (not a guitarist, I just play it), and am very much fond of learning songs with many difficult chors. Yeah I know.

But I also love these two songs, Death Cab For Cutie's "I'll Follow you Into the Dark" (video) and Earlimart's "The Little Things" (gn, can't find it online. It's from the "Mentor Tormentor" album).

This two songs, while thematically different, have the same(ish) strumming pattern, along with the same very simple chords (Am C G F E...). I find this very refreshing, and would like to find more songs like these, for these time when I don't feel like making things complicated.

Any suggestions welcome. Spotify, Deezer or any link to an online audio version is very much appreciated :)

Thanks a lot!

fast forward to 1.11 to hear the chorus!

The chorus reminds me of a song i heard a few years ago, and, because i love the vocal melody and chord sequence, i'd like to know if any other songs exist that sound similar!

is it possible to change the sound of your voice?

is it possible to change the sound of your voice? I'm curious if there is a way to influence the sound of your voice -- to go from a keith olbermann voice to an ed rendell or clint eastwood voice. this is not about pronunciation or intonation to me but about the sound their vocal chords produce before they put any twang onto it. is this a question of drinking too much whiskey, sheer good or bad luck or is this something one could influence?

this is a theoretical question. I sound awesome.

Name that chord!

What is the guitar chord being played by Nancy Wilson at 0:44-0:47 in this Heart video? I cant for the life of me figure out what the hell that is or which fingers are on what frets; doesn't look like any of the moveable barre shapes or open chords I know. But I'm absolutely sure I've seen that (or similar) before on other videos, and I'm thinking it must be something fairly common. Anyone care to clue me in?

Need help with a worship song key change transition

Church worship leader needs help with a key change transition for a Christmas song! I'm singing a Christmas song called "Who is He in Yonder Stall" which is played in the key of G, and I want to sing the final verse a whole step higher in the key of A. How can I make the transition to the new key smooth and pleasing sounding (I'm playing it on my acoustic guitar)? I want to change key during a short instrumental transition. What chords should I play?

The last line of the chorus goes like this:

----------------C-----------D--------G
Crown Him, crown Him Lord of all!

And the following line the first line of a new verse, when played in the key of G, goes like:

---------G--------------------C
Who is He that from the grave

viagra for plugs

How do you secure a plug so that even if someone yanks on the chord, it doesn't come out of an outlet? It does need to be POSSIBLE to get the plug out sometimes, and it won't work to glue/staple the chord to the wall, because sometimes equipment needs to be moved to another room. I teach for a computer-training company. At least once per class, someone trips over a chord and the plug gets yanked out of its socket. Inevitably, this chord leads to a strip powering half the PCs and the projector. So they all go down and have to be rebooted. The student feels like and idiot, and we have to pause class for 10 minutes.

I realize that chords should be taped down or whatever, but our tech guys are constantly moving machines from room to room, and the rooms themselves are continually re-organized (tables moved around, etc.) for various events. So everything needs to keep flexible and mobile.

I want to suggest a solution to my employers. Hopefully one that's not too expensive. I'm hoping there's something that can be mounted on or near sockets that can keep plugs from coming out. Any ideas?

How do you make a Palm a guitarist's best friend?

How do I convert my Palm into a guitar player's best friend? I have an old PDA (Palm OS) laying around and I was wondering how I can convert it (install software on it) to make it a chromatic tuner, chord dictionary, and most importantly, a ultra-portable and backlit tab book.

Ideally, the software that displays the tab would be able to automatically scroll (as I won't be able to scroll down while I am playing).

Lastly, make it as inexpensive as posible.

Also, any suggestions that could add to this already amazing idea would be welcomed.

Help me translate guitar tabs into piano sheet music

As I begin to learn the piano again, there are some songs I'd love to try to play but for which I cannot find sheet music (I definitely want to learn to play by ear at some point, but I don't think that point would best be now). I can however obtain guitar tabs for the songs, and so I'm hoping to try to translate those into rough sheet music for the piano. Can I just translate it note by note (and chord by chord), or are there some specifics about guitar tabs I should be aware about and take into account (it seems that way, a quick direct translation didn't seem to turn out quite right)? I should mention that I can't read guitar tabs at all. So for example, I don't really know what FM7 refers to, or which E E7 is specifying. I see a couple Am, Bm, and Em references... I suppose that's A, B, and E, but what does the m mean? (Flat? Sharp? Something else?)

(Sorry for so many questions.)
