Alterations/Tailor in Chicago. Anyone have a personal recommendation? The drycleaner in my building does it, but I want to know if anyone can recommend a tailor personally. It's a dress (made of a recycled polyester with a water repellent finish) which needs some refitting through the bodice. Doesn't have to be a commercial tailor, either. If you know a good seamstress who is willing to do piecework, that's great. I just want someone I trust picking apart & resewing my dress.

A good friend is getting married September 1st and I'm interested in buying for her and the Mr. a certificate for an at-home cooking lesson for the two of them--they've taken cooking classes before and dug them so I thought it might be fun for them to do it at home in their new place with their new stuff. We/they live in Chicago--does anybody have any recommendations for places? I've come up with a few on Google but I want to see if anyone's had any personal experience with this since it seems a lot of it would depend on good customer service. thanks!
I am new to Chicago and just signed up for Second City's beginner improv class. Do any of you have any experience with this? What can I expect?

We'll have 15 days. Will want 3 days in the end in Chicago. Is this doable? What are the "must see" places & how much time at each? Travel clockwise or counter? Thanks for all suggestion of what to see & what to avoid.
