Where can I find slick, light skin/protectors for my T-Mobile G1 (google android phone)? The only stuff I've seen so far has been those bulky ugly hard plastic sheaths. I need something like what this place has to offer (for the iphone) http://www.more-thing.com/apple.html.
Thanks! : )

How can I get my text messages back? I had approximately 400 texts saved on my phone, which broke. While I was waiting to get the replacement, I put the SIM card into my old phone and used it for a week or two. The new phone has arrived, but when I put the card in and checked my texts, about 370 seem to have disappeared.

Every year my DH hits the back roads on his bike, most of the time alone. I've been bugging him to get a phone to take with him since he dumped the bike a couple of years ago while riding alone. He hit a road that was covered in sand and couldn't pull up before he hit the ditch. The bike was not too bad, but he separated his shoulder and had to wait for someone to help him get it out of the ditch as he couldn't call roadside assistance. Of course, he wants me to find the phone and I haven't a clue. So what's the best for him?

Talking on my Blackberry while it was plugged into the charger did weird and horrible things to the battery (battery started bulging a bit and voltage changes made my phone crash a lot), and so I bought a new battery and refrain from doing that.
Must I avoid doing this with my iPhone as well or is this problem a quirk related to how Blackberries operate while in charging mode? I have unlimited minutes on my cell plan, other than battery talk-time limits...

I've noticed that mobile phones have a much easier time talking to each other than to most laptops/PCs. Is there any software out there that can make a PC behave like a mobile phone? For some reason I'm expecting mostly open-source, but anything is welcome.

Next month my hobby club will meet in a local library meeting room. It has no phone and no internet connection. The library cannot provide any phone line to the room. We want to phone a fellow hobbyist in another state and interview him about an aspect of the hobby in which he is an expert, for about 30 minutes. Can anybody think of a low/no-cost solution to providing speaker audio to boost the sound to an acceptable level?

Any good
Motorola E815 (Verizon Wireless) replacements? I love love love this phone. Although I've had issues with it, the non-Verizon interface is top notch, the texting is the best I've ever encountered, and the signal quality/sound quality is great. I've been simply buying them on Ebay, but was looking for other Verizon options made in the last 4 years. Price: Cheap.

Frequently, when people call my cell phone, I hear it ring at my end but they don't at their end. There's just... nothing. This has been going on for about the last month, and I'd say it happens on about 1/3 of the calls to my phone. Is the problem with my phone or with my service provider?
