I have an old cell phone. I have a old digital camera. I have a simple mp3 player.
I want GPS. I currently pay $60/month for unlimited calling (but no data) on my Tmobile plan. Can I get all or most of these things on one cell phone without spending much (or anything) on a new phone, and without paying anymore a month?

I hardly talk on the phone any more, when I do it's usually only a few minutes (last bill I used 60 of an available 500). So I could probably make do with a prepaid plan. However, I use data all the time; email, Google calendar, etc.
Now many people out there have put the iPad data plan to use in assorted Android phones, granted that was before the AT&T unlimited cutoff.
But has anyone done it after? Split voice and data to two devices? Is the slight hassle worth it?
I'd use google voice to direct calls and such, wifi at work, home, many places I frequent so I'm not to worried about going over the 2 GB limit.
Anyone out there with first hand experience?

Cell phone insurance under home owner insurance? Has anyone tried this? Is it worth it?
I signed up for cell phone insurance with Verizon and naively thought it would be worth it (even for a smartphone). Like anything, I know you need to pay something to get something, but $8/mo + $90 for a claim every time could get pretty expensive.
If it helps, I have State Farm. We've been with them for 15 years or so.

Do you trust third-party batteries for your cellphone? Specifically I'm thinking about picking up some spare batteries for the HTC Evo, but I've been a non-removable battery phone user for so long that I don't know if I really should stick to the manufacturer's branded batteries or can safely save some money and look elsewhere (like a Seidio, for example).

I'm a Canadian planning a trip to the Disney World this fall. My current cell phone has ridiculous roaming rates, so I won't be bringing it with me. I live very close to the border, and thought I would go over the border and buy a cheap prepaid phone a few weeks before my trip, so that I can activate it, and give the number out to people before I go. Is this a good idea?

I'm travelling through the UK, France, Germany, and Austria for a couple of weeks and need a cell phone. I don't want to pay the roaming fees AT&T would charge. Should I a) rent a cell phone in Europe or b) buy a prepaid one? Should I do this once for the trip, or switch each time I change countries? Should I be switching SIM cards? I want the easiest option that's not too expensive. Thanks.

Another ditch-the-cell-phone-bill/Google Voice question: Google Voice made me give them my cell phone number (800-OLD-CELL) when I signed up, and then assigned me a new number (800-GGL-VOIC). However, I don't have calls forwarded from the Google Voice number to my actual cell phone - Instead, everything goes to voicemail. What happens if I cancel my old cell phone number?
