Could I potentially ruin my Iphone (which I love) if I take it to some guy suggested by T-Mobile to get it unlocked because AT&T won't give me the unlock code.

Can I purchase a prepaid T-Mobile phone from, say, Walmart, activate it with a plan, and then put that SIM card into my older off-contract T-Mobile phone and expect it to work?

I have an old cell phone. I have a old digital camera. I have a simple mp3 player.
I want GPS. I currently pay $60/month for unlimited calling (but no data) on my Tmobile plan. Can I get all or most of these things on one cell phone without spending much (or anything) on a new phone, and without paying anymore a month?

What are your experiences using Virgin Mobile in Oakland, CA? I'm feeling lured away from T-Mobile by the siren song of VM's

My work is providing me a Blackberry with voice plan that I'm expected to carry during waking hours and I don't want to carry multiple phones or maintain my $50+/month plan; I'm trying to figure out the best way to merge the two. Oh, and one other catch- I'd like to set up Google Voice for work and would really like to use the additional features that come with getting a Google Voice phone number.

I want an
HTC Magic, badly. T-Mobile is sitting on it for probably the rest of the summer in order to prevent cannibalizing G1 sales. But I know they're for sale by
Vodafone and Rogers will be shipping them in the next couple of weeks. What are the best practices for buying an unlocked cellphone?

Frequently, when people call my cell phone, I hear it ring at my end but they don't at their end. There's just... nothing. This has been going on for about the last month, and I'd say it happens on about 1/3 of the calls to my phone. Is the problem with my phone or with my service provider?

It's come the time to buy a new cellphone. I have a RAZR V2 and it's falling apart. My Verizon contract is up in November. Should I re-up with Verizon and stay on my family plan or should I break off and/or go to another carrier? And what phone should I look into? All I know is that I do not want a huge fold out QWERTY keyboard like a 16-year-old girl with a Sidekick and probably do not want a Motorola.
