I'm close to ending my cell phone contract with Sprint (Thank God, I'll be rid of them at last). Now I have to make a choice on which carrier to go with and want to make sure I get the best reception in our home area and especially in the house itself. [more inside]

What kind of cell phone reception do you get in Denver's Colorado Convention Center? We're possibly involved in a conference there in a few weeks, and a project we're doing hinges on coverage good enough to send and receive SMS in the convention center. I've heard that it's "spotty" in the below-ground parts of the center, but that could mean anything ... is it good enough to deal with hundreds of attendees bouncing text messages back & forth? Ideally, we need to know ASAP. =)

I have a Blackberry 7290 and live in a basement apartment. I intermittently get one bar of signal in most places inside, but full service right outside the windows. What is the most effective option to increase service indoors so that I can maintain phone calls? I've seen the expensive cellular repeaters and I can't really justify spending that much. Thanks.

My father and I have been fighting a small battle against our HOA who blocks every attempt to have a cell phone tower installed nearby. What can I arm my dad with to take into the next HOA meeting so that next time his request is refused on the grounds that a tower would give all of us cancer, he can respond with scientific evidence to the contrary?

If you rented office space only to discover that no cell phones work inside at all, are you totally out of luck or is there some sort of antenna or repeater or tin-can system that could be used to feed cell reception into the building?
