I'm searching for a lowkey unobtrusive but interesting ringtone that won't draw looks of ire from those around me. I know this has been
covered on ask.mefi before (in 2006), and, indeed, I ended up with one of those ringtones on a long ago now dead phone. But six years later, most of those links are dead, and we've moved from RAZRs to iPhones and Androids.
So what's the latest and greatest in non-annoying ringy-dingys for our phones?

Any suggestions for a protective yet stylish case or cover for the Android 3 (Verizon)? This is my first smartphone and I got it a week ago. I am so afraid that I am going to drop this "heavy" thing. And yes I am over 40.

My Palm Pre recently gave up the ghost 2 years into a 3 year contract with Bell Canada. I'd like to get a new Android phone with a good physical keyboard and a touchscreen. I'm not looking for specific phone suggestions, but places to do research: How do I know what models will work with bell, can I buy them away from bell and then use them with my existing plan, what sites have reliable reviews and what are just churning them out for a quick turnover.

I have one of the first Android cellphones that I recently rooted using SuperOneClick so that I could install Wireless Tether. I did not install a new ROM. I now want to sell this phone and I'm wondering, if I perform a factory reset, will that "unroot" it also? I'd like to advertise the phone as being rooted and having Wireless Tether on it, but I also need to remove all the personal info stored on it. What is the best way to keep it rooted but also wipe out all my stored passwords, pictures, etc. ? If it matters, it's a Tmobile MyTouch 3G. Thanks in advance!

What's the state of the art in quad-band capable Android smartphones? Essentially I'm looking for alternatives with capabilities similar to the
Motorola Atrix 4G. It needs to be carrier unlocked and support 850/900/1800/1900MHz GSM 2G functions and 2100MHz WCDMA.

I hardly talk on the phone any more, when I do it's usually only a few minutes (last bill I used 60 of an available 500). So I could probably make do with a prepaid plan. However, I use data all the time; email, Google calendar, etc.
Now many people out there have put the iPad data plan to use in assorted Android phones, granted that was before the AT&T unlimited cutoff.
But has anyone done it after? Split voice and data to two devices? Is the slight hassle worth it?
I'd use google voice to direct calls and such, wifi at work, home, many places I frequent so I'm not to worried about going over the 2 GB limit.
Anyone out there with first hand experience?
