One of my mp3 files does not get burned to CD in its entirety (using Windows Media Player). The actual duration is roughly 53 minutes, and the mp3 plays flawlessly all the way through in WMP, but only around 48 minutes gets burned to the CD. [more inside]

Can you recommend a program that will burn audio CDs with absolutely no gaps between tracks for mixes? Both iTunes and Nero have an option to remove gaps, but there is still an audible gap.

I need some kind of remedial primer for transfering music off my cds and onto my computer, then off my computer and onto cds. Every music cd I burn is full of pops and weird scratch artifacts. I'm realizing that I don't really know much about audio formats and that I'm probably doing something wrong. Can MeFi help? [more inside]

Dumb Windows XP question time. I burned some files to a CD-ROM using Nero. Then I burned some more files to the same CD-ROM, creating a multisession CD. Afterward, when I insert the CD into the drive, I see only the second batch of files on the disc. On the Mac I'd expect to see a separate volume icon for each session; how do I access the various sessions under Windows?
