Caves around Vancouver

Are they any nice caves around Vancouver that aren't out on Vancouver Island? I'm going to visit in a week and would like to find a nice cave by the sea. Just something interesting to explore, not particularly a grand spelunk. Thanks.

My turn: what movie have I been thinking about for the past 15 years or so? The only scene I can remember is some guy getting his hand chopped off in a cave or dungeon. Sometime around 1992-1994 or so, I was out grocery shopping with my parents. I ended up wandering into the store's video rental department, where they were playing this movie on the TV. The only part I'm able to remember in any detail was this: Some guy being held prisoner, chained, maybe had long hair. He gets led to this big rock, where they hold his arm down on top of the rock and chop his hand or arm off, with a sword or maybe a big axe. The cave or dungeon this took place in was very dimly lit (as caves and dungeons tend to be). I know that's not too much to go on but hopefully someone else has seen this.

Books about underground locations?

I'm looking for books set in subterranean locations. Caves, sewers, underground cities, hollow earth, etc. Non-Fiction or fiction. I've recently developed a fixation with everything related to life underground. I'm not too picky about the subject matter of the book, I prefer Sci-Fi or non-fiction topics, but really any recommendation is welcome. Anything goes as long as it takes place underground.

I wouldn't mind some movie suggestions either, I just prefer book choices as I have access to a wide selection of books for free.

Which is it?

Was this part of a movie or was it just a dream? My dreams are extremely visual, and sometimes I can't tell if a memory is from a dream or an old movie I saw when I was a kid.
Here's what I remember: A young man with a girl are in some sort of cave (maybe they are just underground), and there is a boulder covering up a large hole in the ground. The boy moves the boulder, (and I think the girl says something along the lines of, "The hole is covered up for a reason") and either bats come out or some sort of dog-like creature runs towards them from inside the hole, where the boy and girl frantically move the rock back, covering the hole again.

Was this from a movie? Or am I just remembering an old nightmare, where I was that young man? It's driving me crazy!

Please recommend an interesting hotel or B&B in the Angels Camp / Murphys, California area. Also looking for things to do in the area after exploring Moaning Caverns. Other caves? Hot springs?

Platos cave, its all greek to me

What would Plato have called his allegory of the cave in ancient greek? Also what would that look like in ancient greek letters? I want to use this in a piece of art, and I think its one of the most profound thoughts in the history of mankind... so I feel as though it is a little important to know what Plato himself called it.
