I’ve become a person of (some) faith in the past year, and my life has been better for it. But it feels lonely not to fit into either the secular or religious communities—I'm not far enough along the spectrum one way or the other. Is there any way I can meet other people in a similar place? (Sorry, a little long and snowflake-y.)

I want to read more about the cultural history of Quebec's
Quiet Revolution, a short period in which suddenly the people of the province became more secularized and the pace of life revolved less and less around their traditional Catholic faith. What are some good papers and books about this?

My husband was married briefly and divorced over 20 years ago. Since then, his ex-wife has remarried, divorced again and recently remarried. My husband and his ex wife have had no contact since before the divorce. She has just (out of the blue) asked if my husband was baptized (he was not). She said she would need him to fill out some paperwork acknowledging that he hasn't been baptized so her new marriage is recognized in the Catholic church. Can someone explain what my husband's baptismal status has to do with her current marriage being recognized? They are divorced, there was one child born from their marriage. Could she be trying to have their marriage annulled??

I'm in the process of applying for an annulment to my marriage in the Catholic church, and am already feeling incredibly violated and offended by what the tribunal wants to know in order to pass judgement. Help me figure out if I want to suck it up and proceed.

Hi, a friend of mine is a Mason and is encouraging me to put myself forward to join with him as my sponsor. My issue is, I'm a practicing Roman Catholic and understand there's an element of history between the 2 organisations. Looking at the web, all I can see is the polarised for and against arguments. Are there any Catholic Masons on here who could give some advice? Set up catholicmason@gmail.com if anyone wants to get more detail.

Trying to find a Catholic night time prayer,
very similar to the Prayer For Daily Neglect, that was included in a small booklet of Catholic prayers recently distributed via pew pockets, July or August in the Lubbock dioceses. It was also a three-part prayer, and was also for neglects, but worded differently than the "official" prayer. Basically, it contained to the effect of a "provide the good I saw but did not do", a "complete the good that I did incompletely", and another part. Any clues? Google came up empty for me.

I'm wondering if others can share their experience with the Pre-Cana classes/process before getting marred in a Catholic church.
I've looked online and found very vague descriptions and I'd really like to know what we're going to be involved in.
Especially interested in the FOCCUS test they have you take (I haven't been able to find sample questions and I really want to know what sort of things they ask to see if you are 'compatible'.
Please share as much as you can or are comfortable with.
