My very playful kittens love their litter boxes . . . a little bit too much. How can I encourage them not to play in the litter boxes, and more importantly, not to take their poop out of the litter box to play with?

im finding it hard to balance giving my new cat attention without reinforcing negative behavior. he seems starved for attention, but also shouldn't even be rewarded with even a glance when acting up. the problems seem small enough to nip in the bud. but how? are there any cat whispering techniques?

One of out cats has decided that she will only poop in front of her litter box. This is a new and unpleasant habit. What can be done to fix this behavior?

My cat has taken to pooping and peeing all over our flat. Several trips to the vet haven't stopped it. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to stop this?

Catfilter: my overweight, formerly feral cat has been on a diet and using a litter robot successfully for more than a year. He recently has started whining non-stop for food and intermittently pooping and peeing all over the house.

A bout of constipation and butt-dragging resulted in my cats rubbing their poop into the poorly-surfaced hardwood floors of my apartment, and no amount of scrubbing or Lysol will remove the poop caked into the grain of the wood. This is not a stain, the poop is literally caked into the wood. What do I do to remove it with a minimum of damage to the floors? Is there some way to dissolve the poop?

Our (formerly feral) cat bites all the time- sometimes gently and affectionately, and other times hard enough to draw blood through thick jeans. Also, he poops every time I take a shower. I'm puzzled.

One of my cats has decided that the litter box is just fine for peeing, but that the area approximately 2 feet away from the box is the BEST PLACE EVER to poop. We've been using enzyme cleaners to get her smell off of it, but it's not seeming to work. Halp, magical pet intarwebs!
