We'd like to have a small, lovely wedding on the grounds or in the gardens of a Scottish castle. The internet leads me down a sweaty, confusing little rabbit hole. [more inside]

My mother and I have planned a somewhat last-minute trip to Scotland and we just discovered the Carols at the Castle event
at Stirling Castle on the 15th. It is, of course, wildly popular and already sold out. Where might an enterprising couple of ladies manage to find tickets from those who have purchased them but no longer want/can use them? In the US I'd look on Craigslist for something like this, but that doesn't seem to be a popular option here in the UK. Gumtree hasn't given me anything either. Any way for us to track them down, or is it a sadly lost cause?

I just accidentally deleted a much loved picture on my pinterest and despite a lot of searching, cannot find it anywhere. Does this building sound familiar? It was old, white and European and had amazing brown line drawings of architectural details painted around the doors and windows. I think it might have been a minor Swedish or German castle but everything I find when googling with those terms is a lot grander than what I'm looking for. The trompe l'oeil was almost convincing from a distance but up close it had a simple hand painted charm - there was no shading or rulers involved. I really enjoy looking at buildings with hand painted exteriors (eg. Burkina Faso houses) so if you can suggest some others for me to look at, that would be fantastic too.

Do I continue writing a book I've enjoyed writing and researching when it seems I've unintentionally given it the same premise as Castle

A friend and I are planning a trip to Wales (we're both in the UK). The only thing she really wants to do is go to Snowdonia and do a bit of hiking, and the only thing I really want to do is go to Milford Haven
, the town where my grandmother grew up. We also might want to visit a castle. How can we do this, without a car? [more inside]

I am looking for a pink castle-shaped pen holder. It should be suitable to hold the kind of stationary your average office worker needs. Glitter and fur a bonus. Must be from some where that delivers to the UK. [more inside]

Will be visiting London again - in either September or October. I need to know the best (least confusing) reasonably priced way to travel to Whittington Castle in Oswestry, Shrophire - there will be 2 adults in my party.

ObscureToyFilter: Help me remember a toy from my childhood. My siblings and I are remembering plastic, colored blocks and cylinders that unfolded to become characters. We recall a king and queen, almost certainly a pig, and maybe a cow. [more inside]

Traveling to Ireland in Sept. Will be renting a car in Dublin and seeing the countryside for a week. Any suggestions for affordable (<100 eu per person per night) castle accommodations? Recommendations on B&B's also welcome. Also, what are the must-see, non-"touristy" attractions.

Many years ago (late eighties/early nineties), I used to play a delightful DOS-based RPG on my father's Olivetti computer. It was simply called "Castle" and involved a quest through an ASCII-rendered castle -- fighting demons and ogres, acquiring inventory, and so forth. The Olivetti went to its final rest around 1996, but this computer game was, for me, just as entertaining as anything on the market today. Is anyone out there familiar with this game? Could anyone suggest where I could find a copy? Unsurprisingly, Googling "castle" doesn't seem to get me very far, and I'm not sure where else to begin.

As a web developer I can usually find what I want on the Internet. This however, has stumped me for over five years. Please help me find any info about this movie. I saw it in the 80s, possibly the early 90s. For the amount of detail I recall about the movie, I can't believe I've never found anything on the net. The description follows: [more inside]

Did anyone used to play Dark Castle on the old Macs? I spent a lot of my childhood playing it... and I'm thirsting for more. Now I have a PC - does anyone know of a way for me to find it online? Or elsewhere?
