Looking for nice travel CD cases? My mom would like to take some CDs in the car with her. She's terribly hard to buy gifts for. So...if I could spend some dough on a nice CD case, I'd be happy to do it. So far, all I can find is regular, sorta lousy quality ones. Does anyone have any online sources for nicer-than-usual cases?

I'm looking for something but having a tough time - plain cardboard or kraftboard CD and DVD cases - blank for do-it-yourself label-affixing or decorating. I'm looking for something like the "Earthy Chrunchie" on this page, in both a CD and DVD version, but not with any custom printing - just with the blank holder to decorate myself. Any leads for me?

I want to find out how to get a durable glossy lacquered(?) wood finish for pseudo wooden instrument cases. I know almost nothing about varnish/lacquer. My last attempt resulted in this, which is definitely the right look for the finish, but the problem is that it's far more prone to damage than it should be, such that I now feel I should try to keep the surface covered and protected, which makes me reluctant to actually ever take it out of the closet or use it. Who makes sweet-ass PC cases? Note: I don't want anything neon green with gills and a tail, or an aquarium built-in. I am building a media center PC and can't find a slim, tasteful case that will look good in the living room. I prefer horizontally-oriented and absolutely require two 5.25" bays in front (behind a door is okay). Silent-running features are a plus. Any suggestions?

We've had several "need a bag/pouch/case" questions, but I don't believe we've had exactly this one ... My newish employer smiles on the idea of music while you work, so I need a means of carrying my iPod and all of its accessories (headphones, iTrip, AC adapter) back and forth to work. Right now, kit and kaboodle is in a Royal Crown-esque drawstring bag, but it is showing wear & tear quicker than I'd like and it is no safeguard against banging around. Ideas?
