I bought a turntable and the sound is a disaster. I think I should just buy a new stylus but is there anything else obvious I might try first?

We cant find at B and Q, the sticking point seems to be that the upper part is 25mm from the shoulder instead of 30. This is in the UK.

Remanufactured toner cartridge is causing recurring paper jams. But the remanufactured toner cartridge looks identical to the original toner cartridge! What could possible be causing the paper to jam, and has anyone ever figured out a fix or workaround so as to avoid buying the higher cost tone cartridges?

How can I clear a recalcitrant cartridge jam on an HP C4580 printer? I've gone through the steps on the printer and the further support on the
HP website to no avail. I still have the error message flashing on the printer, and it will not print anything, not even the self-test report. I need a working printer, and this is driving me crazy! Any suggestions? Help?

While listening to some records this evening, I realized that the tracking force on the tonearm was never properly set, and when I checked it on the balance scale, it was crazy high. It's been like this for years. Is the cartridge damaged?

Here's another question about Brita Water Filters. Presumably the efficiciency of the cartridges is affected by the amount of water they filter as well as the length of time they are in place? My office has a lot of empty toner cartridges from laser printers sitting around. What should I do with them? I don't feel good about throwing them in the trash, but whenever I research selling the cartridges to a company, I can only get something like 1 dollar for each (and that will barely cover the shipping costs). Any recommendations for where to purchase inkjet cartridges online? I'm preferably looking for somewhere in Canada, or will ship to Canada cheaply. I've never actually owned a inkjet before (I've only used lasers), so can someone also tell me if it's worth the savings to get a refilled or off-brand cartridge, or would I just be throwing my money away? I need ink for an ultra-cheap HP PSC 1315, and I'd rather not spend more than the printer cost in the first place.

I need some turntable help. I found the perfect present for my dad this year - a recording of two Xmas songs by Yogi Yorgesson that he used to sing all the time. Problem is, it's a 45. I called his wife and she told me they have a Technics SL-D1, but it currently has no needle. I know jack about record players. Can I get any old cheap-o needle/cartridge for this thing?
