Trying to recall the name of a certain cartoonist or illustrator. His work looked like a lot like Ulf K, but with wider, more curly lines. I think he did mostly (if not all) black-and-white cartoons. Sequential boxes/frames. No dialogue, as far as I can recall. Possibly dead, or quite old. [more inside]

Looking for a charming comic/cartoon that was on the back page of TIME sometime in 2004 or 2005. Maybe even 2006. An unassuming little chap goes around with some sort of contraption, collecting body heat: from the seats that others have vacated, etc. He gets chased out of town for being a weirdo - the following winter was a cold one.
