My husband loves his 2007 Mini Cooper S convertible, but also loves his 3 year old, 38" tall, 30 lb daughter. We're hoping to bring the two things together with the perfect car seat. It needs to be easy to get into for the kid, harness (as opposed to seat belt) preferred. Have any actual real-life Mini owners made this work?

We hope to take our daughter home early next year, but she will likely be only 4lbs plus then. We've been given a Phil & Ted stroller, but we'd like initially to use something that detaches into a car seat. We don't drive, but use a lot of cabs, walking etc. in Singapore. The reviews online seem more for people with cars or bigger babies. Any advice or recommendations for a light stroller that will detach into a carseat that can be used easily in a cab?

Last night my husband was involved in a very low-speed crash -- the other party was a cement pylon. The crash popped the airbags and broke the plastic grill on the front of the car, but we don't see any other damage.
My son's car seat was in the back of the car. (My son was not in the car.) Do I need to replace the seat?

Can anybody tell us what kind of car seat our child should be in? We have 3 and 4 year old children approximately 37" tall and 27 lbs. Their shoulders are about 2" over the top-most shoulder strap slot on their seats. We are not sure if they need a bigger car seat or a booster. Any and all information and recommendations are appreciated. BTW, we have a Toyota Corrola which is relatively small so we can't use some of the Britax models (they are too big for our car).

I left a stick of speed stick deodorant on the seat of my car's seat, and the heat of the sun melted it into the seat's fabric. How should I get it out? It's melted into a lump that's stuck in the seat, and I can kind of scrape some of it off, but not all of it. My car also smells great.

Best car seat for a toddler? We're looking for a booster to fit a 14-month old who is 32 inches, 23 lbs (tall for her age). It was easy to choose an infant seat, but the boosters seem harder to select, especially since the recent Consumer Reports test results (on infant seats, not boosters) showed so many seats that didn't pass the test.

However, I'm having trouble getting them to look up the right part number for one piece and would like help finding the right part number to avoid having to go into the dealership just to order the item.

Parentfilter (which would be a nice idea, btw). The Boy has grown out of his backward facing car seat (Jersey law is 20 lbs and one year. He'll meet both in 12 days), and we need to upgrade into something forward facing. I've hit a bunch of sites comparing the safety and prices, but I'm hoping for advice from people using them. Who makes the best car seat for children?
