I believe I am getting Tendinitis in my right wrist. Despite my best efforts (Ergonomic everything, mousing with the left hand, exercises every hour) it has slowly gotten worse over the past year. I want to go talk to a specialist about it, but I am very anxious about what treatment will entail. Can you please tell me what your experience has been with getting tendinitis treated? What were the costs, how many visits did it take, what kind of treatments did you receive? [more inside]

My girlfriend -- an avid fan of console games -- was recently diagnosed with carpal tunnel and can't use a PS2 controller for more than a few minute without experiencing debilitating pain in her right arm. Does anyone know of an alternative controller that might free up her right hand? Has anyone used a DDR pad for non-dance related games, for instance? Or, have you tried the access controller
? I'm worried it might just start aggravating her other arm, though... How about other consoles that have such an option? Controllers that essentially work the same way as a standard controller, but are smaller/larger/more ergonomic don't seem to help.

Is it RSI? I have weird pains in my wrist, like a straight line of ache that goes and goes away for a few seconds. It doesn't happen constantly but often enough for me to be a bit concerned. [more inside]

Is there anywhere online, mail order or in the UK that actually has 'it's not carpal tunnel syndrome in stock? Or another way to get hold of it? [more inside]

My brother (in-law) is having surgery tomorrow on his hands to help with his Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. He's a roofer, a general contractor and also a rock-climber, so you can imagine how not having the use of his hands for up to six weeks is going to drive him crazy. They live nowhere near me, but I'd like to present him with a list of things that he could do while bed-ridden and beyond. Points for originality, and thanks.
