Hi all, longtime reader here, new poster. While dealing with multiple personal hardships (more inside), I had a lapse in insurance coverage for 10 days. This has snowballed into a major issue for me, and I may lose my driving privileges for 3 months, which means losing my job. Any and all advice/anecdata appreciated.

I live in Oregon and I have never owned a car, but in a couple weeks I am picking up my
grandpa's car in Minnesota and driving it back. I know I need to register the car in Oregon and have Oregon car insurance. Is there a way for me to do this before leaving for Minnesota on the 9th of September when I don't have the car physically with me? What information do I need? My parents live in New Hampshire, is it impossible to be added on to their insurance? I am a 21 year old male. I just feel confused and am unsure where to start. Thanks for your help!

My beautiful car was destroyed in a crash, someone turned in front of me and it's totally their fault. But their insurance made me an offer for about half of my car's replacement value. And I'm injured too. Now they want to cut off my loaner rental car, to pressure me to settle. How can I get justice?

I am in North Carolina; just received sentencing for a DWI (first offense), and I'm wondering how I might save some money on the inevitable insurance rate hike. Currently I am on a policy with my wife, through Progressive. We have a 2008 Mazda 3i and a 1992 Chevy Beretta; I am wondering if it might benefit me to get my own, separate insurance policy for the Beretta, so that the more expensive Mazda rates will stay with her and hopefully be unaffected? I don't want to run my credit report getting rate quotes, so I'm throwing the question out here. Thanks for any advice!

Someone hit my car whilst riding their bicycle, knocking my side rear-view mirror clear off. They were nice enough to leave their number for me but I'm curious- is that something their insurance would pay for, or is it something I'll have to try to get money out of pocket for? I have only liability insurance. Totally inexperienced when it comes to such matters so talk to me like an infant.
