Hello Everyone,
So my car is currently impounded at a private tow lot in New York City as it has been for the past 5 weeks. I only received notification from the police department by mail in the past few days.
When I called up to the tow lot this morning and spoke with the general manager, he informed me that my car has already racked up almost $1400 (!) in storage fees at $27/day. (The police document said only $17/day). He also said that he had sent a package to me on 1/26, but I still haven't received it yet.

I bought a new 2012 Toyota Corolla LE. I received 2 Master keys (Smart keys with buttons) and a valet key (starts the car, but doesn't open the trunk). The dealership wants crazy $ to make more keys. They're equipped with an immobilizer, so only those keys can be used to start the car.
I want a spare that will open the doors in case I lock myself out, either for a Hide-A-Key under the car or my wallet. Will a $3 duplicate from a hardware store accomplish this? If not, is there a cheap way to go about it?

So I've lived in beautiful San Francisco, California since 2005, but I've recently started a job down in Sunnyvale. I can take Caltrain down there, but it's an hour's trip plus half an hour on either end to get from home/work to the Caltrain station in question. This is not sustainable, so I'd like to move south. I'm 31, single, and a city boy from way back, so moving to The Suburbs gives me pause. Also, I sold the only car I've ever owned back in '05 shortly after I moved here. So I have two questions:

It's looking like I'm going to be offered a job about one hour's drive away from where I live in North Yorkshire. This will be my first 'proper' job (done lots of temping though). I've found the job market to be reaaaally hard. I'm a graduate and I'm getting interviews and even second interviews but haven't been sealing the deal.

Why would a private investigator be investigating me or my car? I just recieved a letter from the WA state Department of Licensing notifying me that they have disclosed my vehicle licensing information to a private investigator called Melendez & Associates, Inc. Investigations. It does not state the reason for the investigation.

Does anyone have experiences with the

(Anonymous because the program is only for individuals dancing with the poverty line, and I'd rather not make my financial circumstances known)

I left my birth control pill Yaz in a hot car for about 3 hours. The pill was in my wallet, and I put the wallet in the dashboard. It was around high 70's outside. I left it in the car when I went for a hike in the Yosemite national park about 2 weeks ago. The pill felt warm when I came back to the car and took it. I didn't think too much about it, but all of the sudden yesterday I thought of it and now I'm worried. Is this pack of pill still good? Or is it useless? I would love to just switch to a new pack, but I had unprotected sex on Saturday night(3 days ago), so it's already late. I'm going to do the pregnancy check next Monday or so. Am I worrying too much? Or should I be worried?

I bought a new car. I love it. I negotiated a deal that is fair and that I'm happy with. The dealership just called me and said they can't find financing at the terms we agreed to, and now I have to give the car back or renegotiate the terms. Can this be legal?!

How dangerous is it to drive with earphones? I drive a noisy, noisy little car with a crappy stereo, and the tempation to just listen to my flash mp3 player with some Koss isolating earbuds is pretty strong, yet I don't want to endanger others or die in a fiery wreck. But at some point, with the car as noisy as it is, what's the difference?
