Can the LCD screen on the Canon Rebel XTi be used to preview a shot before taking a picture like on most standard digital cameras? I heard you can do it on manual mode, but can't figure it out.

I had my camera (a Canon Rebel) plugged into a laptop when the laptop crashed. The laptop had to be rebooted, but now I can't get any computers to recognize my camera, or, in some cases, they recognize it, but say they don't have the right drivers. This has never been a problem before, what do I do?

I have a Canon Digital Rebel camera and I want to take it kayaking with me (along with other wet activities if possible). Any suggestions on products that will keep this thing dry and still usable? Or should I just keep it in a bag and take it out when I need it? Anything is welcome!
