While I wait to hear results from a needle aspiration... what can you tell me about scary doggy lumps, in your experience? After getting our dog her
radical spring haircut we discovered a lump, between marble and walnut-sized, on her upper front left leg, about midway above the joint, on the front of the leg. It's movable (moves around under finger pressure/movement), and doesn't seem to cause her any pain or warrant her attention at all.

After a diagnostic mammogram and subsequent immediate ultrasound, the cyst discovered in last year's same tests has grown. I'm being sent for a biopsy, but have to wait TWO whole weeks due to being uninsured and going through "charity" care. I'm an anxious mess....how on earth will I survive the two weeks? AND, how long do biopsy results take?

HPV has been discussed a
couple times here before, but I have a new question. A few months ago my pap smear came back abnormal, and soon I'm going in for a colposcopy. I tried doing some research on this, but internet resources weren't very detailed, and I don't know if I have a good doctor (I'm a student on an HMO). I'm wondering: how painful is the biopsy/LEEP they sometimes do after a colposcopy? How likely is it they'll even do a biopsy or LEEP if the test came back with a mild dysplasia? And how common is it for a woman to have to go back for colposcopies later in her life, if her first abnormal pap was at 22? Does the virus just usually go away, or does it get worse? Any OB-GYNs out there?
