I am a Canadian citizen and web developer / eLearning specialist who has been working remotely (in Canada) for several American clients. Some of my clients are interested in having me come down for short periods to work with them. I am not an employee of any American company, and from what I can see, I cannot be sponsored for a TN visa or an H1-B visa. Is there any way at all that a Canadian consultant can legally work in the US for short periods of time without being an employee? [more inside]
Some friends who supported Romney are so displeased with the election results that they are now threatening to move to Canada or Australia for the next four years. Okay. DualCitizenshipFilter: I was born an American citizen, the son of a Canadian mother. A few years ago I applied for and received my Canadian citizenship, and was provided with my Certificate of Canadian Citizenship. I have never applied for and do not have a Canadian passport. If I were to enter Canada now (by air or land) what do I say, what do I tell them? Can I just show them my canadian card and be done with it? What about coming back to the U.S.A.? Can it be done both ways without either passport?

Will I be able to enter the US with a Canadian passport that expires in 4 1/2 months? [more inside]

My fiancee (soon to be wife) and I are planning on getting pregnant in 2006. Because we are smart people we have discussed the possibility of having the child born in a foreign country (we are both American) which would give him or her the advantage of dual-citizenship. [more inside]
