My wife and I saw the lineup for Langerado last night and both of us are dying to go. However, around that first weekend in march, she will be eight months pregnant (or seven, math is hard, we're due in early May). She has never had an experience like Langerado, i.e. festivals full of hippies and lots of music. Hubby and I are planning a last minute trip to Mexico. We're going to fly into Cancun and don't plan on renting a car since we're on a tight budget. We'd like to find a beach campground that's along the Caribbean Sea where we can stay away from crowds and just relax and maybe even do some shore fishing. Would be great it's within walking distance to a small local restaurant of sorts or even if it's just stalls. Does one exist? For the life of me, I have not been able to find any budget beach camping information online. I guess what makes it more difficult is that we'd like to be able to get there by bus and/or colectivo, if possible and it will be during the holidays! I knew I should have researched before booking but we got a good price and well...it will be winter and we could use the sun! Anyone BTDT? :) p.s. I'm totally open to suggestions! TIA!!!

My wife is off to a five day festival out of state soon. She'll be taking ye olden greyhound bust there. It's at a camp ground with limited facilities. She's gotten her tent ready, but is pondering what to bring along. Since she's going via the bus, she's rather limited as to packing space. Basically, a duffel bag, a rubber maid tub, and a personal bag.

Suggestions as to what a person should pack for a week away from home? We've found some lists, but they tend to literally have everything but the kitchen sink on them.

Also, if you have any tips on how to have a more pleasant time getting to Yosemite and the rest of the Sierra than riding through the flotilla of bugs that is the central valley, I'm all ears.
