I'll soon be off on a big bike tour, and would like reccomendations for running a computer/tablet able to do actual work from a bike dynamo hub (details inside).

I ran across a travelogue a while back of two young women going on a long bicycle tour in the Eastern U.S. in the 1930s or 1940s. I think they started from Pennsylvania or another nearby state and originally intended to go west, but ended up going south. On the return trip, I think they took a boat up the Mississippi or another major river. Does this ring a bell?

Some friends and I - all new to the area - are looking for a good place to camp within a long day's bike ride of Minneapolis, MN (60-100mi). We're hoping for something where we'll see few other people, and preferably access to a lake or river, hiking trails, and general wilderness (or at least the feeling of being away from civilization for a bit), and good to stay for a couple of days. Any recommendations? I'm having a hard time with the signal to noise ratio of the rest of the internet. Thanks!

I ride my bike about 50-70 miles a day, but now I'd like to be able to carry a minimal amount of overnight camping gear and hiking boots with me. How can I do this while keeping the weight balanced and without breaking my back?

Are there any good overnight/weekend camping/other trips in and around Baltimore for two cyclists staying on the pavement? No car. Trying to make my honey's graduation & birthday a good one.

What's the modern, ecological equivalent of a Volkswagon Bus (oh yeah and make it cheap, please).
