Does anyone know of or recommend a good flash-memory hi-def camcorder that has AV input? (ie it can also record regular/analogue video from another source, like a VCR does, though obviously it won't be in HD).
Something like the Aiptek A-HD+ meets the flash/HD/AV-in criteria, but I'm hoping to find something with better optics/zoom/stabilization. [more inside]

Can someone recommend a camera flash for a Canon XTi for around $120? I really want the speedlite 430 but its just out of my budget right now and I'm still basically a beginner. Is there anything comparable at that price that still offers a swivel head that can go in all 4 directions (as in, left right up down)? Can I still get good results from something at that price? the guys at the camera store are really trying to upsell me and tell me that anything at my price range will basically suck.

How can I corrupt memory? I have a plain SD card, and I'd like to be able to reliably make the memory corrupt. Can this be done? [more inside]

Can anyone point me to a utility that will copy all the images from my camreas memory card (compact flash) to a directory in the My Pictures folder with the creation date. So all the pictures taken on 7/1 end up in a folder named 7-1-2005. I want it to be ea one-click deal. [more inside]

Has anybody ever tried the flash cards that are "designed" for cameras? They claim to have faster write speeds. I can't help thinking the bus would be a bigger bottleneck than the speed of the card, but I keep seeing them and can't tell if it's just marketing hype or if the extra spend is worth it.
