I work at home and, since I moved from NYC to the West Coast, I've simply had Verizon remote-call-forward my number to make the move as seamless as possible.
The problem is the cost, around $70.00 per month.
Does anyone know of a less expensive way to remote-call-forward? Thanks in advance!

What's up with 774-8283? This appears to be a spoofed phone number calling to harass people at random. How are they doing this, and what can be done about it? Question about American phone calls, probably won't apply internationally.

I manage a non-profit in New Jersey and often need to make a large number of calls in a short time to supporters, clients and/ or donors.
I like to set up a to do list of calls that I can run through and just make call after call to get through my lists as fast as I can. I have an HTC Thunderbolt phone.
I've tried to do lists, but none of the ones I've used are not tied in to the phone dialer. I want to be able to click on a phone number in my list and have it call up the dialer. It'd be awesome if it also tracked my calls on Google Calendar. If there is a to do list app out there that connects to the dialer on Android then I would prefer to use that. But if I have to I'll keep my to do and call lists separate.
Thanks!

What is this raptor I hear every morning? I'm in Plymouth, MA near a large lake. It's not an osprey or bald eagle (I listened to all the raptors at
All About Birds), and unfortunately I have only seen it once (and not very well) so ID'ing it by sound is my only option. The problem is that it sounds like a Harris's Hawk, which only lives in the Southwest.

Tales of minimum wage intrigue: My boyfriend (let's call him Allen) got a "final warning" letter from his small business customer service job, after very little verbal warnings at all. It is most likely due to his refusal to come in on two of his days off in the last week (once he was sick, and the second time he had plans). He was never told that he is on-call. His co-worker/managerial lapdog has told him that his manager is going to fire him anyway. Should he sign the letter? Do we have a leg to stand on at all? Details of shittiness/small business Machiavellian politics inside.

I work in a small office with a small budget where the only full-time employees are my assistant and I, and we have separate offices. Our office has two phone lines. When one is busy, the other rings. Line one is our published office number. We each have our own voice mailbox. The problem is that you only get the "Press 1 to speak to [her], press 2 to speak to [me]" when both lines are busy or no one answers. I want to set up things so that people can select who they would like to speak to before the phone rings on our end.
