We are going on a trip to the Northern California Coast and Oregon. I want to stop in Walla Walla Washington on the way to Portland because of the onions and wine tasting bars downtown. Is there any other local food worth a detour on a road trip vacation?

Feed me, Seymour! I'm a hard-core foodie who's going to be spending a long weekend in Palm Springs, California, and I don't want to waste a single eating opportunity. Additionally, I need a place to eat after my plane lands at 10:30 p.m. on a Friday.

An old friend is visiting my vast metropolitan area and we'd like to meet up for lunch tomorrow. What's a good, infant-friendly spot to grab a bite of lunch, sip a beer (maybe shoot some pool?), somewhere between Yorba Linda, CA and downtown Los Angeles?

My Australian friend sent me a lovely package of Australian goods (Marmite, Vegemite, Aero, Tim Tams, Jaffa, Violet Crumble, Chokito...), and I'd like to reciprocate. But I'm clueless as to what American things are rarities in Australia. Any suggestions of what I can send? FWIW, my friend is in Newcastle, I'm in Los Angeles.
