An am-I-alone-here-question: What does the calendar that you picture in your head look like? For as long as I can remember (or at least as long as I knew my months of the year), my mental calendar has always been monthly, and seemed to start with the month of August--maybe because I was born then, or maybe because the school year started around then.

It's been months now and I still can't find a synchronization solution for Google Calendar / iCal (or palm desktop) / Palm Pilot. The very fact that it's taken so long is making me suspect that there's some technical issue that makes it actually not possible. Is this correct? Is there a solution out there to sync (push data both ways) my google calendar with my palm pilot?

I am enjoying using Google Calendar, but I still love my DayRunner. I would really like to be able to print out monthly and/or weekly calendars with the gcal information, but in a 8.5"x5.5" DayRunner format, complete with word wrapping so I can read each event.
Here's what I've tried so far:

How can I allow visitors to a website to make an online reservation for a specific block of time? I'm putting together a site for someone who offers gondola cruises, and to simplify their life I'd like to be able to do what airlines do: allow visitors to book a half-hour or hour-long reservation and pay online, so that time slot is taken and no follow-up phone calls are necessary. How do the airlines (and similar businesses) do it, and is it possible for us?

Foreign tchotchke filter: Bangkok Bank gives banking customers a nice illustrated calendar each year as a gift. A friend received the 2005 calendar as a gift/souvenir while visiting Bangkok last year and would like to obtain a copy for 2006. Unfortunately, not being in Bangkok and not being a Bangkok Bank customer has made this task rather challenging.

Craigslist has yet to visit my community, and from what I can tell there's a real dearth of comprehensive entertainment/events listings. There are two local colleges, a very small local music scene, and the usual array of chain restaurants and movie theaters, plus some community events. There are some listings in a freebie paper entertainment guide.
Anyway, I want to make a site that aggregates all of this information and is searchable by category or key word. Is there a pre-existing content management system that might work well for this?

I have an Audiovox SMT 5600, which runs Windows Mobile 2003SE for Smartphones, and I'd like to sync calendars/tasks with my PC. This is normally done in Outlook, but I'm a Thunderbird user. Is there a desktop PIM/calendar/tasks package that can sync with a smartphone? I don't really need to sync email - I don't have a data package anyway.

CalendarProgramFilter: I need a calendar program for PC in which one can enter a bunch of calendars (say 50, for 50 people), and easily view various combinations of calendars, to see how various people's schedules interfere. (This could be done in iCal, though something that could show all of the overlaps more clearly would be better)

I need to share a calendar between four people. Trouble is, two of them are on Macs (using iCal) and two of them are using Outlook on PCs. I know there are systems like
OfficeCalendar that do away with needing an Exchange server, and
GroupCal that allows a Mac to connect to an Exchange server. But is there a way to get all these platforms working in tandem? Bonus points if there is a web-based version of the calendar too.
