Am looking for a free six-week-ahead online calendar. I currently use Backpackit calendar but the company stopped supporting it a few years ago plus it costs me $12/month. When I open Backpackit the calendar default view is the next six weeks. I find this incredibly useful. I have not yet found another online calendar that shows anything other than one month at a time. Any suggestions?
I use Google Calendar. My colleague uses Outlook. Whenever he re-schedules a calendar event, I just get an email with the old event time. Help?! [more inside]
I cannot seem to find a good app that will let me: 1) have recurring tasks 2) allow me to check them off as done (like disappear or strike or some other indicator) 3) presented in calendar form (not a "reminders" list). I don't ask for much. I have checked out many many free apps, none of which accomplish what I want. I'm sure this gem is a paid app and I will gladly fork over based on a suggestion, knowing my criteria. I have yet to find one that has all three of these requirements spelled out. Thanks!
I need an awesome wall calendar for my apartment! I’m looking for something graphic and beautiful, preferably in black and white, although muted colors like blue and grey and silver would be cool too. It needs to be the kind of calendar that has a page per month, NOT the kind with all 12 months on one page. And I’d like to not pay more than $25 bucks for it unless it’s REALLY amazing. I just got a 24"x36" yearly planner that I'd like to get a backing for so it can be wall-mounted. [more inside]
I found the following template online and the design really appeals the way I think and plan but (a) I can't find anyone selling this kind of printed design commercially and (b) I'd like it to be large (24"x36" aka 60x90 cm) and so I can't print up a template myself. Here are screenshots from the template: SCREENSHOT1 SCREENSHOT2 [more inside]
Recommend me a neat 2015 wall calendar whose purchase benefits a good cause!
Magento Calendar announced today that they are shutting down on December 23, 2014. I discovered them a few weeks ago and have found it to be the best calendar app for my needs. It especially handles Exchange/Google calendar interaction well, and I'll be missing that the most. [more inside]
I posted about getting misdirected GMail. It's gotten worse. Now my Google calendar is chockful of someone else's life. [more inside]
Lay your weirdest calendars on me. [more inside]
Our office has outgrown our ad-hoc personal calendars and we are looking for a calendar tool. The biggest need for us is to see when others are available for meetings and make meeting requests. We're not an Exchange shop, so Outlook/Exchange compatibility is not important. Most of us are accessing our email over POP3 in our favorite client, so something that can send/confirm meeting requests via email without preference for a specific client is helpful.
I've been reading about various to do/calendar apps, as well as checking older questions on AskMetafilter and have gotten myself thoroughly confusaled and frustrated. [more inside]
There's a short list of tasks that I need to do every single day, and some that I only need to do on weekdays, or only on Tuesdays, etc. How do I manage this given some constraints? [more inside]
My Google Calendar somehow defaulted to 'add reminder 10 minutes before' for entering events at some point a while ago that I did not notice. Lately, ALL THE EVENTS have been popping up reminders, and exploding my phone (and desktop). Is there a way to globally remove all the reminders everywhere on my calendar? I would love to avoid manually checking every event/appointment to reset it.
I have a Google Calendar set up for different home maintenance tasks that benefit from being scheduled out (i.e., things that aren't necessarily visible, like "mow the lawn"). It's been just a few months since I moved in to my house and I haven't filled out the list as much as I'd like. What's on your home maintenance calendars that I might not be thinking about? More of my coworkers and friends are moving (finally!) to using Google Calendar to invite people to events and figure out optimal schedules for everyone. However, when copying events, I'm apparently stuck with my first (default) calendar. How do I change that? [more inside]

I have a Google Calendar synced with my Mac (Yosemite) where I had a full year's events added while living in Toronto. I moved 3 months ago to the West Coast and changed all settings to Pacific Time, but when I check on the individual upcoming events from this calendar, I find either the event itself is off by 3 hours (urgh) or the TZ itself is still listed as Eastern (less problematic, but annoying). I am a very frequent traveler and am often in different time zones. I have an iPhone and have been using the native calendar app. Unfortunately, whenever I move between time zones my calendar "helpfully" changes the times of my flights and appointments. Using time zone support does not fix the problem, but makes it "help" in slightly different and still wrong ways. I need a calendar app that does not do this and assumes I entered the information right the first time. Does anything like this exist?
I work at a company that uses Outlook and Exchange. I link my iPhone as well as my iMac at home. Everything was working great until lately. I've noticed that many of my events have been somehow converted into meetings. I'm suspecting my recent upgrade to Mavericks to be the culprit here. This brings to mind two important questions. I found a Yahoo Pipe to consolidate multiple Ics feeds from different websites into one Ics-feed (that I can import into Ical). But I can't get it to work. Does anybody have a clue? Here's the template for the pipe. Let's say this is calendar A and Calendar B.

In New York I often used OhMyRockness for a comprehensive list of upcoming indie/rock/comedy shows at different venues, but I can't seem to find a similar site for San Francisco. I end up going to each individual venue website (The Independent, The Fillmore, The Chapel, Slim's, etc) for info but this isn't ideal. Is there a site I just don't know about? Thanks!
My company recently decided to move everyone from Outlook to Google Apps. Now a lot of people who are used to Outlook (and MS Office) in all things are being hit with a new environment. It's going okay, but I've volunteered to give a short presentation on how to make the most of the new tools, since I have a lot of experience using them for my personal stuff. Can folks suggest good online resources either for me to mine for tips, or to hand out to users for their own reference later? [more inside]
I have Gmail old calendars from an old workplace on my iPhone that it all of a sudden revived and seems steadfastly opposed to allowing me to remove. They're no longer there when I open my Gmail calendars in my browser, but I've unlinked and relinked my Gmail account to my iPhone and they're still there, driving me fucking crazy with hourly reminders about shit I will never have to do again. Please help me restore sanity. [more inside]

I would like to create custom gardening calendar - biodynamic calendar + edible wild plants for my region + crop rotation + phenology + some other things. And then I would like to receive email reminder for each day that would remind me what to sow when, with what and what to pick in the wild. What would be the best software to do so?

I need to meet each of the students in my class about their assignments over 30 min time slots. I have some days and time slots open, but how do I coordinate this online with about 20 students, where each student can receive a weblink to the calendar and can sort of "online" sign-in for available time slots in my calendar?

I subscribe to my boss' Mac calendars so I can keep up with his schedule at work, but I don't want to receive those calendar notifications on my phone. I just want to receive my own calendar notifications. Is there a way to turn off just the subscription notifications? We're using the built in Mac and ios calendar app.
