In a week I'll be attending a big family event all the way down in Houston, Texas. The main family hotel is the Hilton and most events will be happening in the Galleria mall. I know I'm going to need an escape from all the intense family time, but I won't have a car and I'm low on non-family-time funds. I haven't been back to Houston almost at all as an adult. Is there anywhere nearby or in the mall that I can visit to regain a little calm or find a little funky charm to distract myself?

I am planning a first trip to Grenada Spain in May, and wonder about recommendations for off- the- beaten- track restaurants, unique cafes, jazz bars etc. Also, any info on fiber and wool shops would be most helpful. Feel free to mention anything unique or worthwhile. Thank you.

What's your favourite place in Paris to idle time away ordering cafe cremes and working through a giant book? Chill and economical is the combination for which I seek. I'm up in Montmartre, but don't mind hitting the metro for somewhere rad.

With all the comings and goings of housemates, my home is a veritable mental aslyum at the moment and I am finding it impossible to study. I absolutely
must complete a literature review for my Masters thesis this evening or I am dead. Does anyone know somewhere here in Barcelona that is quiet, cosey, conducive to study AND open until very late? Bonus points if they serve coffee and have wifi.
