So I used WAZE for my morning commute on my iPhone. It's on my dash and out of easy reach. But sometimes I get an idea for a thing I need to do when I get to the office. Or a text I need to send. So I have to stretch and reach over for the iPhone button to hold it down and dictate it to Siri.
Then I thought: What if I just had a button. On me.
So that's what I'm looking for. A button I can have close to me that I can press to activate the same function on the iPhone. Not a headset. Or a speakerphone. My car's functionality there works great. Just a button to trigger the thing that's a foot out of easy reach.
Now It'd be great if it was like a pin on and didn't look awful so it could be semi decorative. But frankly even if it was big and ugly and I could mount it on the wheel that would work too.
So...anyone know any straight button options?

I recently bought a women's silk button-down blouse from Uniqlo. I was looking at it closely today, and noticed that this blouse has two extra buttonholes on each side, near the hem of the shirt. What are they for? [more inside]

I have a Sharp microwave, which is in good condition, except the 'Start' button has recently broken. It's the soft touch type button, and it won't start the thing no matter how I try and press it. [more inside]

I've decided I will be cosplaying Bandit Keith from YuGiOh at my next convention. I've found an appropriate jean vest which I will be dying black (hard to tell if it should be black jean or leather). I'm still looking for the most patriotic bandanna in existence. But what I'm most concerned about is the shear number of gold buttons spread out on the jacket. [more inside]

Can't believe I've had such trouble finding a set of larger 'big button' controls for itunes. I'm using iDisplay and an Android tablet to declutter my screen, but the lowest-resolution option for the tablet in iDisplay still makes things [and in particular the iTunes mini player] unusably small when dragged onto the tablet screen. I work in a public defender's office with a dozen lawyers. Four of them are in windowless offices, and two of those offices in particular are buried near the back of the building, where it's hard to hear if you aren't standing outside the door. For the vast majority of clients this isn't an issue, but how can we keep our office safe during closed door meetings with clients? [more inside]

Hi! I can't use the left click button on my Asus A53E laptop anymore. Do you smart computer folk have any suggestions to help me get back on track? I can use an external mouse just fine, and I can use the right click button on the laptop just fine. It's the left click button on the laptop that's the problem, and I can't get it to respond in any way. I have restored my settings to last week, and it still won't work. Thank you very kindly for any suggestions.

Hello IT, have you tried turning off and on again? I'm in need of a short extension cord, with a separate, big button toggle switch. Extra difficulty: It needs a short time delay before it powers back on. Any ideas? [specifics inside] [more inside]

Very active one year old with G button (MIC-key low profile) During night feeds and traveling in car how do I keep her Button from being pulled? It has come out once before in the crib by her moving so much the slack in the feeding tube got caught in crib and pulled out. It was painful for her since the balloon was fully inflated. I want to keep this from happening again. How do other parents keep thier kids g buttons and tube feeding cord protected at night. She is a wiggly thing and often turns in her sleep many times from belly to back and forth. The feeding is necessary and cannot be missed. [more inside]

I need buttons, knobs, and levers! I need to build a non-functional control panel, and I would love to find some fake (but satisfying to push) buttons and so forth that I could order online and could easily be taped/glued into place. Bonus points for some sort of simple button which, when pushed, could send a wireless signal to computer making it execute a program.

How does the button on the pedestrian crossing lights work? Does it actually send some sort of signal to the traffic lights, or is it just a psychological thing? It seems rather random timing-wise.

Webbrowsing/Internet Explorer 6 Filter:
When reading a long webpage(usually several screen lengths), I often click on a link that's part way down. IE goes to that webpage in the same window(as it should). However, when I click back, I often find that I am at the top of the first page.
I'm pretty sure it always used to scroll down to where I was before I clicked on the link. Now it only does that sometimes. I know this is minor, but it bugs me sometimes. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
