My blog is starting to do well and I'd like to get to get some business cards to hand out at a trade show in a few months.
I've looked into the do-it-yourself approach but I haven't been happy with the templates I've found or the designs I've made myself. Even though I don't really want to spend a lot of money, I'm thinking it might be worthwhile to invest in a professionally designed card.
So, can anyone recommend a business card designer and give me some idea of what it might cost? I also want someone who can print the cards and do it right. [more inside]

I'm working with a client who has an existing web logo designed the majority of which is three primary colors in RGB. So left to right it's a vertical stripe of Blue (#0000FF) next to a vertical stripe of Red (#FF0000), next to a vertical stripe of Yellow (#FFFF00). This logo now needs to go on business cards (plastic ones) and so needs to convert from RGB to CMYK in order to be printed. Problem being that the CMYK gamut just doesn't do those eye popping RGB turned up to 11 primaries so conversion leaves a lackluster product and the client on seeing the drafts in PDF with the colors converted is not impressed. Ideas for saving this one? CMYK versions of those colors that contrast in a similar way to their RGB equivalents? Recommendations for printers (online or in NYC) who can do 3.5" x 2", rounded corner, double-sided, plastic business cards with special inks? HELP!

I run a blog network and my bloggers want business cards. Ideally, I'd like to set it up so I can design the card and put it online where they can order as many of them as they want, when they want. Is there a service that lets me do this? Cafe press doesn't really do business cards. Moo.com doesn't appear to let me create a design that others can order. What else is there?

Where can I buy small bento boxes, or small lunch boxes or tins that would pass as bento boxes? I want to give them out at BlogHer with my business card inside. Bonus points for personalization options (but I think that will be over my budget).

I want to make my own business cards in Photoshop. Nothing fancy, just some text in B&W, so that part I can do myself. But the layout's proving a bit tricky. Any good tutorials on making your own business cards? My end product should be an A4 sized, 8-up or 10-up, in PDF format that I can run over to Kinko's and have them print out and cut.

I was told by a friend that it is illegal for licensed therapists (LCSW) in California to have their email addresses on their business cards. Is this true? If so, what is the rationale? Why is it OK to have telephone or fax numbers but not email addresses?

Business cards--I'm doing some pro-bono design work for a friend who's looking for some basic business cards. I've seen at least a half dozen ads in the back of Macworld advertising 4/1 and 4/4 cards for really low prices. Anyone here ever dealt with these places? What if I wanted to do a 2 or 3 color spot PMS cards? These shops seem to gang the job up with other 4 color work, so obviously spot colors don't fit the bill.
