Burping and no-carb diet. Specifically, can a LACK of burping be due to the no-carb diet? Has this been anyone's experience?

When I get nervous in social situations, I feel the need to have something to sip on. If it's an alcoholic beverage, I can get over-inebriated. If it's non-alcoholic, I have to make constant trips to the bathroom. I need to break this habit or make it manageable.

I have a difficulty burping which started several days ago and last night, it became worst and I ended up not being able to sleep until 3AM. What could be wrong? I still feel it- it is not really that painful but it is uncomfortable. I feel bloated at the same time, and I feel as if food are stuck in my throat or something and I feel like am being choked. I do not smoke, I drink very rarely. Please help me.

My husband has been burping with a sulfur/rotten egg smell attached. He also complained about being very gassy. I looked on Google and every article posted was from 2004. This is only the second time in his 42 years that he has experienced this. It usually lasts for 1 week. He takes high blood pressure meds, with high cholesterol meds. He needs a fast remedy, any ideas. Right now he is taking Peppermint Gels w/ginger and fennel oils (2xday) Thanks.

Why do people with cancer burp constantly. My mother, who died of cancer (ovarian) and my brother, who I am currently taking care of (lung, liver and now brain cancer) , both burped almost non-stop after eating and during episodes of nausea and extreme pain or discomfort. Just curious. I don't want to ask this in front of my brother at his doctors appointment. Thank you in advance...
