How do I deal with a horrible sunburn? It's so bad that my shoulders have second degree burns and it hurts to move my arms. Is there a way to lessen the pain or somehow make my skin heal faster? I got the burn on Friday and have been applying aloe vera ever since.

How do I back up my movies to DVD-R so I can take the backups to the gym on my portable and prevent my good ones from getting scratched? I just bought a new IMac running Leopard. It has the burner. From research, it looks like I need 1. Mac the Ripper---2.DVD 2toOneX (for compression)---and 3.Roxio Toast to burn (even though there is burning software on my computer).....I have no really good clue and am open to any support and advice you might have to offer. How to burn Mp3 random mixes (not entire albums) into several folders on Macintosh for easy navigation in my car cd player...I used to be able to make mp3 discs of whatever songs i wanted and then place them into folders on my desktop, then burn them to disc. It seems that Itunes only allows some form of folder separation (if any at all) by sorting things only by each group's album. This is not helpful if you want several folders with random songs in each folder...for example...I want one folder with songs by rock groups..another that is jazz...whatever. On the new imac, it does not seem to let me take the drag and dropped mp3s in folders on my desktop to a burn disc icon as it did in my older G4. Any suggestions on software or a simpler way around this? I appreciate your input. When it did work, it worked great and saved me from using a crummy fm transmitter on my ipod. The mp3 cds for me sound much better and are easily disposable if left in car.

MacBook doesn't seem to want to burn any CD-Rs. Microwave Puzzle - I cook a chunk of winter squash daily, for putting into rice and vegetables. last week I cooked a chunk with a woody stem maybe 3/4 " long, 1/3 " across, same amount of time as usual. While burning an audiobook to CD, I crashed. This is about a 12-15 CD burn. I have completed 4 of the CD's. Is there a way to get Itunes (Max OS X) burning to pick up where it left off, i.e., start with burning CD 5? I don't see a way to tell it to skip 1, etc. I also have Diskblaze, but have never used it, having seen no advantage to do so. But if it will allow such interruptions, I'd switch, as this has happened before when I've had to quit such long burns in mid-process. Thanks.

Waugh! (Pronounced the Snoopy way or the Evelyn way.) My iTunes will no longer burn AAC files onto CD. I've followed Fearless Leader's lead and de-DMRed all my Apple Music Store purchases with hymn, but I can't burn protected songs that have been hymned, protected songs that haven't been hymned or unprotected songs that used to be hymned. (I guess I didn't try an AAC rip since I mostly rip to mp3, so there's a missing data point.) When I go to burn a playlist, it deselects all the AAC tracks, although it will burn mp3s made from unprotected AAC files. Does anyone know what's up? Is there another Mac app for making audio CDs from AAC files? I'm not much of an audiofile, but don't want to go through the quality loss of converting 128 kbps AAC to 128 kbps mp3 for all these songs.

My girlfriend's computer is from the late Jurassic period-- Gateway with an AMD 500-something mhz processor and 64 megs of RAM running 98 SE. It used to burn cd's from her mp3 collection generally flawlessly, but lately any cd made starts late in the first song and the track numbering is off (e.g. the player dosen't change from "2" to "3" until the middle of track 3.)

We switched from Roxio to Nero, tried converting to .wav with Winamp beforehand, but it's still off.

Any idea what the problem might be?

Where's my karma? I did a good deed and was a designated driver this weekend. I let people smoke in the car as long as they kept the windows down. I keep my car's interior in pristine shape, absolutely no flaws. That is until I noticed a cheery mark the size of a dime on the floor. It just missed the mat. Is there anyway to get this out? I mean it's burned the carpeting (blue-grey fabric)... or at least make it look less junky? As someone who treats their car like porcelain this is devastating.
