My face has bumpiness all over it. I'm not sure how it got there, but I *assume* it's because I always picked apart my zits in jr high. How *exactly* did the bumpiness form? Is there a medical term for this condition? What are the options for removing this stuff (making my face smooth)? ...Explain science behind these options? Are there measures I can take every day to help? Does diet have anything to do with it?

I have a short sleeve shirt that consistently comes out of the drier "bumpy" all over. There is a very repetitive pattern on the shirt like a checkerboard. The pattern alternates bumps and depressions. I can easily get the bumps out by ironing the shirt, but I'm lazy and would much rather just dry the shirt. Is there anything I can do to avoid the pattern? Or, should I just give up and relegate the shirt to my "do not wear because it's too hard to clean" bin? The shirt is 81% polynosic rayon and 19% polyester.

My lucky bamboo has developed bumps along the underside of the stalks. Does anyone know what is causing them, and if they are harmful to the plant? [more inside]
