Bullied by a professor; what to do?

My anatomy professor is bullying me, and it's taking a toll on my grades, and mental health. I'm reviewing all of my coursework together with her next semester; how do I assert that I have been treated in a biased way, without putting her on the defense, and in a way that gets me back the points that were docked unfairly? When the words “stupid” & “slow” are thrown at you...

I’m a 30 year old man who was bullied to a certain degree back in middle-school. I came to the states as a 4th grader. I went to a Catholic school, and was the only new kid in class. At the time, English was not my primary language and dreaded reading out in class due to my thick accent. I was laughed at, and called “stupid” or “slow” from time to time. Those two words have continued to haunt me from time to time up until now. [more inside]

Instrumental music for a show about bullying

Hi all -- I'm putting together a radio programme about bullies and am looking for instrumental music to use in between the interviews -- somewhat creepy and menacing but not too melodramatic, if that makes sense. Any (and all) suggestions are welcome. Thank you for your help.

How do I explain searching for a new job immediately after a promotion?

I have been with my current workplace for about 10 months, and I’ve just received a promotion. It was my intention to stay in my new role with my new, better job title, which will give me greatly improved career prospects going forward, for a year. However. Serious escalation of Crazy Manager behaviour has made me realise I must start looking for a new job, basically ASAP. There must be a way to navigate this gracefully, but I’m so stressed out right now I can’t see it. Help! [more inside]

Physician heal thyself? My 12 year old is bullied on the bus.

Ok, so I have a psychology degree, 20yrs early care and education experience, and am currently in grad school studying school psychology. I should have this, right? I do not have this. Little kids - I totally know what to do. Use your words, tell an adult, yada yada..... My smart, introverted 12 year old vs. douchebag 14 year old? Stymied. I came home from work today and he was in a terrible mood - after a few stabs at trying to get him to talk - I chalked it up to homework fussing and let it lay..... 20 minutes before bedtime - he admits to an 8th grader sticking gum in his hair and throwing a deodorant can at his head on the bus ride home. He just started middle school this year and for the most part - 6th graders are isolated from 7th and 8th graders. [more inside]

Please help me process this incident of horrible male behavior, put it in perspective, and come up with some ways to respond if I am ever unfortunate enough to experience something like this again. Proven ways to transform a fledgling bully back into a nice kid?

A six year old in martial arts class has just started to do and say mean things. Small stuff so far: unprovoked shoving, telling other kids they're doing it wrong, mild name calling like "big baby" and "dumb shoes." Coach is starting to crack down on the behavior, but now the mean stuff is getting said softly so it isn't caught. Will this pass as an age-related blip? Daughter involved in bullying; did I do the right thing?

A photo was taken of my 10 year old daughter doing a racist impression of an asian classmate. I found the photo on my daughter's phone and subsequently discovered that she had sent this to two of her friends. She has been duly punished and lectured on why this was wrong and my wife contacted the parents of her friends to ensure that the photo was also deleted from their phones (which it was). We had hoped this would be the last of it, however someone informed the school of this and now things have blown up into a much bigger issue; it turns out that there has been an ongoing campaign of bullying against the asian girl by all the girls in the class and this incident, combined with another far worse incident, has meant this has been dragged in front of the entire class, with my daughter now the target for abuse because other parents refuse to believe that their girls could be involved. If we had kept our mouths shut and kept this incident entirely within the family, the chances are nobody else would have ever heard about this but my daughter would still have been punished and taught a major life lesson. Now she is learning a far more frightening life lesson (that adults can be shit too) and things are spiraling out of control. I am now suffering guilt about the pandora's box I have opened on her. Could I have handled this better? [more inside]

Not disciplining 7-y.o. boy for publicly battering younger girl - WTF?
