I have a Dell laptop with Windows 7 32-bit on it and I'm having the weirdest issue with it. The "Devices and Printers" control panel window hangs every time I open it. It gets to about 90% of the way, according to the progress bar, and then stops. I can manage my printers using the Admin tools but everything else is unreachable. Is there any way to fix this short of a Windows re-install? This is a work laptop and I'd rather not have to go through our IT service department since they'll nuke everything on it that wasn't there when I got it.

I was reading a library book when a bug crawled out. It was paper thin, and was moving incredibly slowly. My partner captured it and killed it, and then put it between two pieces of tape. We've looked online and, yep, probably a bedbug. What do we do now? Watchful vigilance? Fumigate our entire apartment (which may not be affordable at this time)? Somewhere in between? I've had two weird similar incidents that appear to be
bug bites/stings. I have lived in Minnesota all my life, including in the far northern rural area, and never had anything like these. You are not my doctor, but maybe you've had similar issues and have an idea of what is biting/stinging me?

Since about a month ago I've been getting notifications (under the globe icon) about a few friends of mine about postings they've made on various pages. Without fail clicking on them yields "The page you requested was not found". I'm still listed as friends with these people - have they singled me out for partial blocking? Is there some way to avoid getting these notifications for things I can't see?

Mosquitoes have been buzzing in my ears and keeping me awake at night. How do I either keep them away from me or block out the noise? I have good earplugs, but I imagine they'd be uncomfortable to wear while I sleep. I live in Sydney, Australia and I'm not sure why there are so many mosquitoes. I'm okay with killing them.
