Two and a half weeks ago, I tripped and fell (with maximum drama and embarrassment) at work. I landed on the bottom of my knee (beneath the knee cap) and shin with great force onto a hard surface, concrete covered with berber carpet.
It's still developing new and odd bruising (details within) and is still remarkably uncomfortable. The skin and knee bones don't hurt, but the soft tissue is very ouchy. Is this a "deep bruises take time to heal" thing or a "Martha, get your bruised self to the doctor" thing? [more inside]

YANMD. Gave blood two weeks ago. Hurt more than usual on the stick (but not terribly). I've never had any issue at all before, but this time within a few days I had a pretty good bruise. For several days it was pretty tender. The tenderness has very very slowly reduced, but it's still a bit tender. And I have a bruise the length and half the width of my hand (purple, yellow, green). I don't think the bruise has gotten bigger since the first few days, but I don't think it's been getting smaller either and it doesn't really seem to be getting lighter, though it's hard to tell.
1. Is this a problem?
2. How long before I have a normal looking arm again?
3. Is there anything I should be doing?

I was kicked by a horse on my thigh Saturday evening. It appears to be a deep muscle bruise and is still fairly tightly swollen. It is much less painful than it was yesterday and I can walk on it. After googling it, I am concerned about complications. Should I go to a doctor after this much time has elapsed?

A cyst that was drained on my back 3 weeks ago is still a raised, long-ish bruise (after a doctor followup and cortisone shot last week). How alarming is this? [more inside]

Should I abandon my plan to have laser hair removal? I had a sample treatment of an area (about 2x3 inches in size) on my leg and light purple/blue bruising developed. [more inside]

I think I broke my littlest toe. Everything I read online says that basically nothing can be done, so there's no point in going to the doctor, right? [more inside]

I know about spider veins (those tiny, flat blue/red/purple lines) and varicose veins (raised, lumpy veins). I know that these can be treated with laser or sclerotherapy. But what do you call faint blue bruising that seems to follow the path of blood vessels but is neither sharply defined nor raised? And how can you treat it? [more inside]
