Has the "experimental" browser on newer models of Amazon Kiindle gotten any better? Gmail keeps threatening that soon it will no longer support the native browser on my Kindle 3 (keyboard), but upgrading to Chrome as is suggested is not an option. The Kindle 5 looks like it has a browser, is it just the same, or has it improved over time? Does anyone offer a better browser for Kindle as an app?
A few days ago I was searching for an email in my Gmail inbox and entered the email address of the person I knew it was from -- let's say firstname.lastname@example.org. I don't know what I did wrong during this very mundane occurrence, but ever since then "email@example.com" has been aggressively filling itself in on google-related search boxes in Chrome, preventing me from using Google effectively. Google Browser Synch keeps showing my old gmail name though I have completely signed in with my new gmail address. Still, Firefox (2.0) for Mac keeps showing my older gmail name in the right corner of the browser bar. Any ideas on how to set it to my new gmail account's name?
Yesterday, the "dynamic" (aka AJAX) version of Gmail stopped working for me in Firefox. I am using FF 18.104.22.168, but when I go to gmail (or Google Calendar) I am getting a message saying my browser is not supported, and they throw me into the standard html version. What's going on here? (more after the jump) [more inside]
