I broke my humerus and now have a great big cast. I am concerned about the fact that I can feel some movement at times. Specifically, if I try to rotate my elbow (not the curl/uncurl motion, but side-to-side), I feel like the arm moves but in reality it doesn't (observably move). That makes me worry that the bones may be moving ... in which case how can they heal together? Also, do the cast covers for showering work?

What can I make today with six unexpectedly broken eggs? The answers "two quiches" or "a huge omelet" aren't great choices for me as I had a frittata for breakfast and am feeling a little egged out. One or more savory dishes would be good, and it would be great if they froze well, although that isn't required.

My (secondhand) Sony Vaio PCG-V505DC2 laptop's PC Card slot isn't recognizing any cards put in it (I've tried three, all of which I know work). I know it's not a driver problem because all of the cards worked until recently, when they started working only intermittently before stopping working at all. Can this be fixed in any kind of cost-effective way, preferably by myself?

Our gas dryer stopped working. When the "Start" button is pressed the machine hums, but won't tumble. Reading
this leads me to believe the problem is with the motor. Any idea what a fair price is to get such a problem serviced is? We're trying to evaluate the relative value in having this repaired (the preferred option) vs. possibly buying a new (or used) unit. I've never dealt with this type of repair before and want to avoid getting ripped off, of course.

I recently purchased a 250 GB Western Digital Caviar SE hard drive. It's a internal hd and I foolishly thought it would be ok sitting on my desk hooked up through a ide-usb cable. It also has a power cable which runs down the side of my desk. Well long story short it fell off of my desk due to someone snagging the power cable and now my computer will not recognize it. I have a lot of important data on it which I would really like to recover. Any ideas?

[LampshadeFilter]: I accidentally broke a beloved glass Ikea lampshade and I'd like to find a replacement. I was a klutz this morning and broke this lampshade that holds high sentimental value to its owner. It is a medium-blue glass, mushroom shaped lampshade bought around 2002. Ikea doesn't have a stock discontinued items, and eBay and Googling turn up nothing. Pictures are inside.
