It's been 2 months. You have a great first date with a guy from internet. Chemistry! Romance! Sexual Attraction! Best first date ever. But the female has undesirable qualities. After a few more dates the female confronts the male about his intentions. He then calls her back in a passionate telephone call and says he's willing to have a go. Sadly, he seems to not really be that into her. He then again a few weeks later reiterates his fondness for the female, despite hang ups and she's now rethinking her position.

How do I "read in" my in-laws on my childhood physical/verbal abuse?
My wife's immediate family is very close and I spend a fair amount of time with them (I see some of them weekly and all of them at least once a month). One part of my life that I've only shared with my brother-in-law and his girlfriend (in a very generic way) is that I was sadistically abused by both of my parents for a good portion of my childhood. This has created a barrier between us and while I've only heard whispers about it from my wife, I know they sense that I don't give them much in terms of who I am and what I'm feeling. I've known them throughout my relationship with my wife which started over 16 years ago, so there's a lot of history there.

My friend wants to end a relationship with his girlfriend who he shares an apartment with. He is looking for some advice about how to deal with the apartment itself, since his name is on the lease. Should he pay her the money for the remaining months of rent in one lump sum? Or Should he suggest that they both move out, and then they split the cost of breaking the lease? And, if she wants to stay she can stay and pay full rent? He would love some ideas- its so hard to bring logistics into a very emotional situation. Thank you!

How can I house break a 6-year-old rescued scent hound when I live in a condo with shared corridors and an elevator?
After searching many rescue listings, I have found a cute dog that seems to be a good fit for me according to the adoption counselors. I plan to meet the dog this weekend and take her home early next week if all works as planned.
The rescue agency told me that she doesn't like pooping on leash, but will urinate on leash. They
think she'll be OK with the shared corridors and elevator. I'm mainly worried that she will make a mess in these common areas as I don't want to upset my neighbors. It is my understand that she will poop in the house at times because she doesn't understanding the concept of pooping on leash.

Why am I so emotionally attached to someone that I ended a relationship with? Six months ago I broke up with my daughter's father for the third time. The first two break ups happened before my daughter was born so my feelings are not simply for the obvious reason of us sharing a child together. He is such a wonderful person; I look up to him, he is smart, caring, and we have a similiar outlook on life; morals, values. However, whenever we are together, I lose all physical attraction for him and everything he does drives me insane. He has never put an effort into our relationship. We don't share the same sense of humor and I have never felt like he was my partner in crime, something I always hoped my life partner would feel like.

What the heck...?! The lashes on just one of my eyes appear to be breaking. They're little stubbles 1/2 their normal length: both upper and lower, all the lashes on the outer contours, with a few lashes in the mid and center of the lids remaining normal. Looks like someone took a pair of scissors to them while I was sleeping! At first it was 1/8 in. section, then 1/2 inch section, now 3/4 in. Not from the roots, but broken off... [more inside]
