Help me make my own wall-mounted zine boxes

I have several boxes of zines that I'd like to get off my floor and display more publicly. I love the idea of modular boxes like these, but of course I have some particular snowflake storage needs and limitations. Help me modify this system! [more inside]

please help: might I have lost everything I own?

I dropped off all my possessions (pretty much everything I own) in boxes at a local storage facility in the UK (in awful circumstances - details below) and failed to get a receipt, only a verbal agreement that they would do my paperwork by email, and deliver my boxes in a month's time. I then had to leave the country. Four weeks later, I've yet to receive any invoice or confirmation. I've called and emailed several times and have been told in a genial but rather brusque way that they will get in touch, but so far no email. I'm heading back to the UK soon and want to get my boxes delivered this weekend. Still no invoice or receipt. I am FREAKING OUT that they are being so flaky. I am having panicky visions of them losing or selling all my things, and me showing up in the UK with basically the clothes on my back and nothing else. Have I made a terrible mistake? Is there anything I can do? Apologies in advance for long freaking-out-ness below the jump. [more inside]

I need a kind of gigantic quality of small, see-through plastic boxes.

I need ideas for ways to store small objects in small, see-through containers, preferably ones that are either flat and stackable or stand up tubes. I need some that hold about 2-3 cubic inches of material, some a little more, some a little less. I need to buy a lot of these and I need them as cheap as possible-- I'm hoping to pay around 35 cents apiece for them but am willing to go a bit higher on some if necessary. They're for storing beads of a variety of sizes, so I need to be able to mix and match a few different kinds of containers. I am willing to buy from multiple sources if necessary. [more inside]

How much to move your stuff?

What would the going rate be for paying someone in the north-eastern U.S. (not Boston or New York) to move your already packed apartment (including heavy appliances and furniture) into storage? [more inside]

stockroom safety issue

My workplace seems to deal with storage in a way that is unsafe: we have boxes stacked to the ceiling (one box on top of the other, not layered like brick) along several walls and shallow crates and flat boxes stacked to the ceiling in an area at least 6' on each side without any sort of support other than the containers everything is in. Is this normal for stockrooms and warehouses? If not, how can I do something about it? [more inside]

Where can I buy cheap boxes of multiple sizes?

Comic and card boxes seem to get listed cheaply, then have absurd shipping charges. I could use shoe boxes, shipping boxes, office boxes, whatever - I just want to know how to get them cheaply. [more inside]

Help me help my friends. Keep my first aid box organized!

My shoebox is too small. I'm looking for a box, somewhat larger than the ubiquitous plastic shoebox, and taller, with a separate removable tray. I need to expand the number of supplies in my first aid box, but the resident FA assistant prefers a single layer of stuff in a box, rather than a multi-pocketed bag or a multi-layered box. I've seen toolboxes that are kind of what I want, but they'd get mixed up with the actual toolboxes that also get packed. The two-layer toiletries/makeup boxes I've seen are too small. I've poked around The Container Store's website, but didn't find anything useful. Any ideas?

I need a storage shelf/unit with cubbyholes and matching storage tubs.

I'm looking for a storage solution that is essentially a wall of cubbyholes with matching plastic storage tubs/bins that fit snugly and slide in said holes and sit flush with the front of the unit. [more inside]

What is the best (cheapest) place to buy boxes for moving?

Boxes, I need boxes. What is the best (cheapest) place to buy boxes for moving? I'd like a step above liquor store/grocery store boxes, the ones that don't need to be taped, and are easily formed. I've looked at theboxcompany.com, and they seem reasonable.
