I buy bottles of strauss organic whipping cream, it comes it little glass bottles and looks like this: pic 1
, pic 2
. As you can see, on the glass bottle there is a flat black imprint with some lettering and a logo. Is there any way to safely remove that imprint? I have something in mind I'd like to reuse my bottles for and I'd prefer them not to have that imprint. Thanks!

A few months ago I finally found the water bottle I'd coveted for so long
. A few weeks ago, I lost it, along with everything else that was in my bag. And the bag itself. And my BLACK BELT. Anyway, after searching online for days, I finally found a shop in Poland that still had one. I ordered it immediately. I have it now.
The hole is *tiny*, invisible to the naked eye. I'd say it leaks about one drop of water a minute. I'm sad and angry and disappointed, but as this bottle is apparently the last of its kind that was on sale, I'd really like to fix it. Any ideas how to go about it? Note: I'm in the Netherlands, so I'm kind of hoping for a miracle cure that will be available to me here...

I have a few old glass bottles which I've cleaned, de-labeled, and given airtight cork tops. They're attractive bottles, about 750ml each with narrow tops, and I'd like a practical way to show them off ideally in the kitchen. I already used one to infuse olive oil and other to hold my dried dried beans rather than leaving them tied up in the pantry. What else can do with them?

I have a water squeeze-bottle on my bike. It has a black cap/drinking-assembly and I'm concerned that it might get really gross under there without me ever knowing about it. How should I clean it? Should I just get a different bottle?

Thirty years ago, upon receiving the joyous news of my birth, my grandparents broke out the champagne. They kept the bottle as a memento of that day and recently gave it to me. I'd like to turn it into something both useful and beautiful. But what? [more inside]

Our little baby boy has been in the NICU for the past 8 days and should be released in a less than a week. He was born 6 weeks early and before we had bought anything (even a car seat) so we're rushing to prepare for his imminent arrival. We came up with a few questions while shopping for baby stuff... I have a relative who enjoys Drambuie but absolutely hates the bottle redesign from last year. Is there anywhere in the US where I can still buy it in the old style bottle? Ideally somewhere in the area between Detroit, Michigan and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania? I realize I can buy an empty bottle on eBay or what have you and present it as a "decanter" with a new bottle, but I'm hoping I can maybe find a place with a cache of the old style bottles.

I am emotionally attached to an old Sigg aluminum drinking water bottle (ie, I've had it for many years). But now it's badly dented. Is it still safe to use? The metal is unbroken, but I'm concerned that any kind of coating on the inside may be cracked/compromised. Any advice please from water bottle gurus.

How do I get this
goofy cap on a bottle open? It's plastic and it appears to have a moving part inside. This is a bottle of cachaça, specifically Velho Barreiro, if that makes any difference.

Because this question just doesn't get asked enough: please help me remember this book I enjoyed as a child in the early 1970s. In it, 3 boys are at the beach. They find at least one (maybe more) message in a bottle, and I think the message is in some sort of code. I thought the title was "Three By The Sea" but I checked Amazon.com and the book they have with that title is definitely NOT the book I'm thinking of. Anyone?
