I am seriously looking into moving to Boston. I would like to be in the city as much as possible while paying less than $1400/mo rent for at least one bedroom. I would like to be able to have a dog and park my car. (I might not drive it around Boston much, but would like to be able to use it to leave the city) I work at home. I was looking in the Brookline area or on Commonwealth between Boston College and Fenway. Any advice would be great!

Hi All,
I'm looking for a CBT (cognitive behavioral) therapist in Boston. I'm interested in talking about relationships, my goals, my career, etc. I have a history of dysthymia/mild depression. My insurance is Harvard
Pilgrim HMO. I'm open to other varieties of therapy around the CBT
vein, dialectical behavioral therapy or whatever, as long as the
person is good. If you have a suggestion of someone who doesn't take
Harvard Pilgrim, or you don't know, please list them anyway.
Thanks!

My gentleman friend and I will be spending the weekend in Boston. We've been before, so we've covered the Newbury stretch and would like to branch out a bit this time. We'd like to eat and drink at some great local places (no chains, please). Neptune Oyster is on our list. What are some of your favorite restaurants and/or bars in Boston and why?
(We're staying at a hotel on the Waterfront, but are certainly not limited to that area.)
Thanks all!

Please help me choose a first car (and ideally a Boston-area dealer). Baby coming late August, we live in Cambridge (off-street parking), wife's new to driving. We want: baby-safe, reliable, envirofriendlyesque, comfortable, good trunk space, city-savvy. Used is fine.

Where can I get oats in bulk near the Boston area? I'm looking to cut down my breakfast costs, so I want to buy
something like this. I assume that I could get it even cheaper than Amazon if I got it from a local cooperative/farm/something in the Boston area. Is that true, and if it is, how do I go about locating such a place?

I have a gas stove in good condition that I want to get rid of. Salvation Army's donation pickup line in my area (Boston) never answers my calls and never returns my messages. What other options do I have? Also, I was told by the stove salesman that selling the stove wasn't a good idea because I'd be liable if the purchaser hooked it up wrong and poisoned or exploded themselves. Is this true, or was it just FUD?

I've been to Fenway, The Commons, and Harvard. I'm going back for a week's training (staying at Boston U Dorm with no car). I'm not the most excitable or prolific tourist, so I'm just looking for a few must see things. Just to give some random samples of myself: I like Indie Rock, Modern Art, and if Pax was in town I would have loved to check it out.

I live in Boston and will be visiting NYC frequently over the next few months. I'm looking for anything that is well designed and you've found useful (e.g. good public transit apps, travellers guides, stuff to keep me entertained on the train/bus while enroute in between the two or anything else that you think might be handy or fun.)
