I live in Cambridge, MA and share a two-bedroom apt with one roommate. We are women in our early 30's. I've been in the home for 2.5 years, with a different roommate each year. I loved my first two roommates. I invited my current roommate to move in this past Sept (met her through Craig's List) and we're a good fit. I have a sudden, burning urge to move into my own (1 bedroom) apt. Do I ask her permission, or just tell her I'm moving?

I live in Boston/Cambridge, late twenties of average height and weight. I usually go dress shopping in the sales rack at Banana or Ann Taylor or, for more casual wear, places like Marshall's or Macy's. But I'm looking to go on a special-occasion shopping trip for a special-occasion dress (the event being a spring wedding in London and the excuse being to reward myself for when/if I lose 10+ straggler lbs.)

Hi All,
I'm looking for a CBT (cognitive behavioral) therapist in Boston. I'm interested in talking about relationships, my goals, my career, etc. I have a history of dysthymia/mild depression. My insurance is Harvard
Pilgrim HMO. I'm open to other varieties of therapy around the CBT
vein, dialectical behavioral therapy or whatever, as long as the
person is good. If you have a suggestion of someone who doesn't take
Harvard Pilgrim, or you don't know, please list them anyway.
Thanks!

I'll have what's more-or-less equivalent to an eleven hour layover in Boston on Wednesday, Feb. 17 from around 6am to around 5pm. I'll be on foot and starting from the Boston Sheraton/Prudential Center. Bearing in mind that I'll either be pulling a carryon or need somewhere to stash it, what should I do with my time there? Note also that I'm an undergrad elsewhere, so if there are any neat events going on on campus (especially MIT or Harvard), I probably wouldn't stand out TOO much attending. I'm also up for meeting local MeFites.
Thanks!

Okay, situation. I need a 'yes this kid is messed-up' note from a doc/therapist/something to stay enrolled in the context of a history of major stretches of no-shows-to-class, no-turning-stuff-in etc. I'm extremely unfamiliar with the institutional health system so pardon me if this is a stupid question but is there such a thing as providers who'll diagnose/vouch for you with depression/ADD/whatever the eff my problem is within DAYS? like a week in ultimate maximum? And how do I find them? (Around Malden, MA)
