I once saw boots with a ca. 3" yellow "Y" on the sole. They looked nice, what is the brand?

Where can I find boots shaped like
these with a zipper (no elastic), but don't cost more than $300? They don't need to be navy. Black or brown works. Such a basic shape is surprisingly difficult to find.

I'll be traveling to the northeast next week and I've realized that I don't own any shoes that are remotely suitable for trapising about on the cold, potentially snowy or slushy sidewalks of Boston. When I lived there I wore my Dr. Martens everywhere and they were great, but I've since learned that they don't play nicely with my issue-prone feet, and anyway I need something that will be comfortable to wear for long periods of time and not particularly bulky, which puts most snow or combat-type boots out. I know this is kind of a silly question, but I'm really stumped as to where to start looking. So, residents of similar climes, what do you wear on your feet that keeps them relatively warm and dry but still fairly comfortable? Suggestions for specific models and brands or general types welcome.

Hubs and I are contemplating a trip to Venice in October--acqua alta season. What kind of gear would we want to manage the high waters? Like: Would we want to bring full-on rubber boots, or will we be able to get by with regular waterproof shoes?

I love my boyfriend's motorcycle boots and I want my own stompy boots. These
Dr. Martens were incredibly comfortable, but the multitude of buckles really aren't my style; I prefer much sleeker lines. What I really want are these
Jimmy Choo boots--even my boyfriend thinks they're the best fit for my style and needs, except for the price--but they're out of my budget for now. Internet suggestions are great, but I need to be able to try them on in person for free--so it's best if Zappos, Nordstrom, Macy's, etc carry these shoes. (I'm located in Seattle.)

I bought
these leather nubuck/suede boots (in brown) last year and wore them throughout the fall and winter. Due to my ineffective attempt at waterproofing them and lackluster cleaning, they have some lighter spots and dark stains. Some of this is just wear on the leather, I know, but is there a way to get the rest of that off?

Please help me find winter boots that will last for 20 years. My old pair of boots, that I've owned since high school, finally broke this March after 20 Minnesota winters (the rubber cracked). I want new warm and waterproof boots that will last me at least as long as the last pair. Are there particular brands, models, or features I should look for?

I'm thinking about buying a pair of
Ben Sherman Manchester boots on super sale from JackThreads, but I'm concerned they'll just be another pair of cheap Chinese-made shoes and a waste of a hundred bucks. Anybody have experience with recently made Ben Sherman shoes in general or this model specifically? Alternatively, if you have good experiences with black, mid-calf (10-12 eyelet) boots, I'd like to hear those, too.
