Books after divorce to help face being alone

Book Recommendations for Post-Divorce pain and anxiety? Help me help my girlfriend who is recently divorced and consumed with fears about being alone. She needs something positive and empowering to give her some strength to face the future and get comfortable living alone. She's in her early 30s with one child and she initiated the divorce because she was so unhappy.

Medical Device Industry Primer?

I'm about to begin work at a medical device company (as a paralegal) and would like an introductory book on the subject. I've scoured Amazon, but haven't found anything that's a general overview, with chapters on history, business climate, FDA and regulatory issues, litigation -- just a smattering of everything, with perhaps emphasis on legal / regulatory. Most books are more specialized. Or are there websites or white papers along these lines? Recommendations, please!

Books as good as Little Heathens

More books like this -- My 82-yr-old mom loved "Little Heathens" by Mildred A. Kalish, about growing up on the Iowa farm in the Depression. What other titles would be enjoyable for her, along the same lines? Don't want anything too academic or historically detailed. Thanks!

List of Books - update?

BOOKS. In 1988, Frederic Raphael published "List of Books" -- a guide to essential reading on a variety of topics (economics, history, philosophy). But it's almost 20 years old. Does anyone know of a similar updated list (equally trustworthy and well researched), either on-line or in book form?
